silverpig
Toronto Star live blog of pictures Pretty nuts. I was on a call in the office between 5 and 6 pm when the majority of the rain fell. RIght now it's just standard Vancouver rain really. The TTC is shut down for the most part. Union station is under water. No cabs anywhere cause they're all taken. Even the PATH (the underground mall/tunnel system) is messed up with flooding, power outages, and alarms going off. I walked home in the rain, but my wife is at the airport right now, and I don't know when she'll be able to get here. To think she left the sunny warm Okanagan this morning... HTania
They are getting more rain in the next couple days so things may get worse, and more areas out of power.
Apple Juice
When it rains in Toronto, especially during the summer, it really rains. Pray for all the people there because I was just there last summer for 3 and a half months and I experienced only two heavy rain days.
Amish Rake Fighter
I saw an interesting stat many years ago (and just re-checked it for accuracy) NY (Central Park) has an average rainfall of 49.69 inches. http://average-rainf...rk-Central-Park Vancouver (Richmond) has an average rainfall of 47.2 inches . http://www.currentre...ual-average.php Some sites show it to be even less (43.98 inches) http://bcpassport.co...couver-weather/

silverpig
The water levels are mostly back to normal now. I stayed home today so I don't know how everything else is. Apparently most of the subway was running again this morning.
