Ilya Mikheyev
In recent years he's also become known for his political activism as a vegan, animal-rights crusader and environmentalist. He has been the party's deputy leader since 2010. Green Party Leader Elizabeth May said "this is an important day for the Green movement in Quebec" and she described Laraque as someone who "will always speak his mind." Down by the River
Guy is just desperate for attention it seems. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=427322 In the TSN article he calls out Parros, saying he won't intimidate other teams. Right or wrong, Laraque should just stay quiet, especially since the majority of his fights near the end of his career were hug-fests anyway. Langdon Algur
Good for him. Love to see hockey players like him and Andrew Ferrence that actually care about our Earth. As for those trash talking him, I dare you to say it to his face.

Apples
I wouldn't have a problem with saying it to his face. He is a politician, and if he can't take my criticism without resorting to violence it will only further support my point.

Ilya Mikheyev
Georges is probably assuming that his name will get him votes (if elected)...not gonna happen.
Dion Phaneuf
1. People have gotten in on a lot less. 2. By all reports Laraque has been working hard on humanitarian and environmental projects since he retired. He also did NOT run in the 2011 election despite being deputy leader since 2010. So, I don't get that feeling, but maybe I'm wrong. Either way, I'm not voting in that riding haha

Ilya Mikheyev
Haha same here. He seems like a great guy but he could wait...seems a bit early to be running. It would be nice if he wins the riding though; quite possible too given his name.
