Common sense
Anyone remember back when he scored 50 in a season? Yeah...too long ago.
Crom!
I was hoping that the Canucks would sign this guy. We need a guy with 89 SC.

Bruce Boudreau
Anybody know why did he fall of the rails? His skating? Off ice issues? Injuries? He certainly was more than another Anson Carter.
Alchemy Time
His play fell like a Looney Tunes character, he kinda hung around in the air for a bit, but then shot straight down.
Dion Phaneuf
Thank you Vintage Canuck. I can tell my kids that because of you, i knew that Jonathan Cheechoo signed with the Medvescak of the KHL. You're so relevant.

Matthew Lombardi 18
Cheechoo wouldn't come to Vancouver for 1 M? EVERYONE knows that a top-six position needs to be filled.
Matthew Lombardi 18
I think the new CBA had an effect on this too. There would be a place in the nhl for him had owners not cried about spending too much money, only to turn around and hand out the same contracts that crippled them in the first place. Obviously Cheechoo is no star but this is the start of a watered down nhl product. Soon enough you will see guys like Mason Raymond over in Europe and guys like Alex Freisen filling holes on minimum contracts.
Apples
Some of us actually care about this...fantasy pools, etc.
Dion Phaneuf
I didn't even know there were KHL fantasy pools
Guest
I still can't believe he had a 56 goal year and then just fell off.

Rey
Give the guy a break. I don't understand it's been this long, and people still don't know what happened, and just think he got lucky to play with Thornton. He was a solid player, but he blew out his knees, therefore he lost his foot speed. You can blame Scotty Hartnell for his knee on knee on Cheechoo, 9 minutes into a double overtime playoff game in 07. There's a reason why everyone mentions how dangerous knee on knees are, and why it's a huge deal when it happens.
Crom!
Dang, how come we never signed him and tried him with the Sedins... if he scored 50+ with Thornton imagine theres a chance he could of had magic with the Sedins too even if his performance diminished. Could of done a 1yr 2 way and then kept him in the AHL if it didnt workout =P
Keslerific
My post was 100% sarcasm and was an inside joke to cdc Fantasy Hockey section users.
thad
Mason Raymond is an average hockey player with above-average speed. He can kill penalties and has a good shot, but he's otherwise extremely overrated.
Kubrick
His career is slowly going down the toilet. May as well retire lol
TheAce
Good signing for Medvescak... clearly another example of Gillis being out GM'd again
Coconuts
It's a shame he fell off the way he did, he had a nice thing going. But all the best to him in Russia, maybe he can turn it around.
