Details of the contract were not released. Kennedy, 27, scored two goals in 13 games for the San Jose Sharks during the 2012-13 shortened season. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound forward spent most of 2012-13 playing with the Worcester Sharks in the American Hockey League, where he had 13 goals and 37 points in 37 games. Kennedy posted career highs in games played (76), goals (10) and points (26) with the Buffalo Sabres during the 2009-10 season.
