RUPERTKBD
Even if I was Muslim I'm pretty sure I'd still realize that fasting is dumb. I don't know. It seem like it's done with good intentions. (which Watermelon has already pointed out) It certainly beats ritualized cannibalism, as far as I'm concerned...
aeromotacanucks
Lived with many Muslims and I can assure they are very nice people it´s their culture and somethings I agree with them. at least they don´t try convert you at all day like many Christians. yesterday at 8AM a Mormon knocked at my mom´s house and I was there, the guy from Utah tried to convince my mom to follow his religion. My mom was confused because his portuguese was weak. them she called me to talk with "the gringo", I put my Canucks jersey and "talked" with him, in english... nothing better than my wallet with the coat of arms of the Brazilian Air Force and the question "let me check your VISA status please" to tell Mormoms to find another place to disturb... Muslims don´t knock your door at sunday to try convince you to follow his religion. if you want be a Muslim go to a temple and find what you want ok. they REALLY love soccer, after Alah of course, Muslins seems love soccer, especially Barcelona FC, Manchester United and any team from Spain,France,Germany,England. geee! I told to a friend from Saudi Arabia that he will marry wearing a Barcelona FC jersey...

-DLC-
My coworker is selectively participating. He fasted a couple of days last week. I couldn't do it...I admire the dedication and discipline involved.
Captain Aerosex
I'm guessing all my Moslem friends who lift have to cut during Ramadan. It'd be hard to put on mass during this month...
AllEyezOnMe
My coworker is selectively participating. He fasted a couple of days last week. I couldn't do it...I admire the dedication and discipline involved. Especially if you work in a place that requires repetetive physical activity. In middle eastern countries they let you off work early in the month of Ramadan, down here it's not like that so for those people it's much harder. Also the fact that it's so warm outside adds to the difficulty of fasting in July.
taxi
I had a former roomate who became a devout muslim, and you have to respect the self-discipline in Ramadan. Especially this year, the days are sooooo long right now. While I was living with him, Ramadan was in the winter. It was still dark before work and dark by the time you got off, so you were just skipping lunch. This year you guys have a massive fast period. This year its July 10 to Aug 7. Right in the sweet spot for hot and long days. A tough combination.
Tortorella's Rant
The great thing about being atheist is that it requires so little of your time and effort. Good job on the whole fasting thing though, I guess. I certainly couldn't nor would want to do that.
Watermelon
It was getting pretty unbearable for me near the end of fasting today. It felt so good to just dig into the food, it was like heaven

Praise Allah! Troll, there has not been one case of any Muslim dieing due to fasting. And FYI wars were fought in the month of Ramadan so compare that to any type of labour today.
