Lol, The Red Wings defense is, and has been for the last 15 years or so, one of the best in the NHL. It's better than Arizona's (it's so weird to call them that) Howard himself is ridiculously inconsistent and probably the Red Wings' weakest link, while Smith took the Coyotes and carried them to the conference finals the season before last. He was a nobody there backing up Dwayne Roloson and after Phoenix signed him he became one of the best goalies in the NHL Exhibit B: Ilya Bryzgalov. Not much needed to be explained here.
