[Report] Canucks negotiating a new contract with Andrew Alberts

Would much rather have Fistric at this point.

Not sure what exactly is going through Gillis' head right now. Last years team failed miserably.....looks like pretty much no changes for the up coming year.....and he expects different results?

I understand the cap constricts certain changes but this is a round peg in a square hole mentality....

Liked what he brought last year; he was the most improved Canuck in my opinion. Torts should encourage him to play more physically than AV did, which will further improve what he brings to the table.

We need another left-handed D anyway, and his skillset is something we need.

Not a fan of his but I wouldn't mind him back for another season if he's paid under a million. He had a bigger impact than Barker last season and has come a long way from his first season here. He's also not a bad option for a physical depth defender...Fistric and/or whoever else we were targeting are probably looking for a bigger role and/or more money/term.

IMO this isn't a good move for us. We need to give his spot to somebody else whether it be from the organization or a free agent/trade. Alberts could also use a change of scenery.
