Pears
This may be the opposite if wanting to get younger but IMO this would be the best possible line up: To Vancouver: 2014 3rd To Winnipeg: David Booth --------------------------------------------------------------- Re-signings: Chris Tanev: 2 years, $3 million (1.5x2) Jordan Schroeder: 2 years, $2.4 million (1.2x2) Dale Weise: 2 years, $750K per Andrew Alberts: 2 years, $950K per Signings: Jaromir Jagr: 1 year, $4 million ($2 million against the cap, $2 million in signing bonuses: Vinny Prospal: 1 year, $3 million ($1.5 million against the cap, $1.5 million in signing bonuses) Remaining cap: $265,555 ------------------------------------------------------------ Sedin - Sedin - Jagr Prospal - Kesler - Burrows Higgins - Schroeder - Kassian Richardson - Gaunce - Hansen Hamhuis - Bieksa Edler - Garrison Tanev - Corrado Luongo Eriksson Scratches: Santorelli, Weise, Sestito, Alberts, Y. Weber Minors: Jensen Thoughts?
euphoria/
why would anyone give up a third round pick for booth? he was very ineffective in the few games he has played in the past two years and has not produced enough to justify that large of a salary. Booth's situation is very similar to the Luongo situation, a contract that is too big to move without taking another bad contract back. I also don't think signing a slow Jagr and an aging prospal fit gillis's plan of getting younger and faster. baaad proposal. you also cannot have more than 23 players on a roster at a time. so if you have a full lineup only 3 scratches. kanucks25
Bonuses are counted against the cap, otherwise teams would give every player the league minimum and the rest in bonuses.
Outsiders
I don't mind the line up. but 3rd and 4th lines are wrong they should be Higgins-Ganuce-Hansen (3rd) and Sestio Richardson-Kassain(4th)

Wiznac
I cant see any team taking Booth until hes played and established himself as a competent player again
elvis15
Not entirely accurate. If the players are above a certain age, the bonuses are not counted against this year's cap. But anything above the cap earned by the player is counted against the following year's cap. I believe the age is 35, so Jagr qualifies. Can't remember off the top of my head if Prospal does.
