Kragar
7-game trip early, and a 5-game trip right before the Olympics, and no other trips longer than 4 games... not too bad for the road schedule. And we get a couple days off after the 7. Could be a lot worse.

Smashian Kassian
I'm excited. Hopefully Lu comes motivated when we play TOR. I would love to see the CBC & TSN panels in tears after we destroy the Leafs.
Smashian Kassian
The first month is going to be pretty packed with that huge eastern road trip. Its cool we get to see Lu/Schneider so soon in the season, its nice to get that whole storyline out of the way.
Canucks_fo_life
From mid October to mid November, 11 of 14 games on the road, very very important for the Canucks to make some noise there
2nastie
Anyone else think the Jets game in December will eventually turn into Bure Night? Would make sense since that's the team Bure made his debut against.

coolboarder
Breakdown of the Canucks road trip schedule and number of time zones games per trip, and back to back games and their time zone changes during one duration of the trip. I will name a city to other city when time zone changes during one trip. The Canucks will have the total of 10 road trips of 2 games or more. Trip starts with time zone and ends with the latter time zone. First Road trip: 7 games, 6 ETZ teams, 1 CTZ. 1 B2B against 2 ETZ teams, Pittsburgh to Columbus in middle of trip and 1 B2B against 1 in ETZ and 1 in CTZ (NJ to St. Louis in B2B games at end of Trip). 1 Time zone change Second RT: 4 games: 1 MTZ team, 3 PTZ teams. Phoenix to San Jose. 1 B2B games against 2 PTZ teams, LA to Anaheim at end of trip. 1 Time zone change Third RT: 4 games: 3 ETZ teams, 1 CTZ team. 1 B2B, NY Rangers to Carolina at middle of trip. Carolina to Nashville. 1 Time zone change Fourth RT: 3 games, 3 CTZ teams. 1 B2B, Dallas to Chicago at end of trip. No time zone change Fifth RT: 2 games, 2 PTZ teams. 1 B2B LA to Anaheim. No time zone change Sixth RT: 3 games, 2 PTZ teams. 1 MTZ team, 1 B2B Anaheim to Phoenix at end of trip. 1 Time zone change Seventh RT: 5 games, 1 CTZ, 4 ETZ. Winnipeg to Detroit, 1 time zone change. 1 B2B in ETZ, Detroit to Boston at middle of trip. End of this trip at Toronto for the Olympic break. Eighth RT: 2 games, 1 MTZ, 1 CTZ/ Phoenix to Dallas. 1 time zone change. No B2B games. Nineth RT: 4 games, 1 CTZ, 3 ETZ. Winnipeg to Washington. 1 time zone change. 1 B2B in ETZ, Florida to Tampa Bay at end of trip Tenth RT: 2 games, 1 CTZ, 1 MTZ. 1 B2B game, Minnesota to Colorado. 1 Time zone change Road Trip stats breakdown Total number of time zone changes during one trip: 8 times Total number of no time zone change during one trip: 2 times. 1 CTZ trip, 1 PTZ trip. Total number of no B2B games during one trip: 1 time. Total number of B2B games with time zone change: 4 times. Total number of B2B games on road: 10 times (20 games) Total number of two B2B games in one trip: 1 time. Most cross-border games in one road trip: 2 times, Winnipeg-Detroit, Boston-Montreal Consecutive road games between Canadian cities: (2 games) Montreal-Toronto Total number of road trip with time zone one hour forward: 4 times Total number of road trip with time zone one hour backward: 4 times Total number of 2+ road trip games: 36 games. Total number of one-game road trip: 5 games. Longest distance B2B game on the road with time change backward, no PTZ city: NJ to St. Louis Shortest distance B2B game on the road with time change backward, no PTZ city: Minnesota to Colorado Longest/shortest distance B2B game on the road with time change forward: Anaheim to Phoenix Longest distance non-B2B game on the road with time change: Winnipeg to Detroit Shortest distance non-B2B game on the road with time change: Carolina to Nashville Shortest distance ETZ B2B road trip: Pittsburgh to Columbus Longest distance ETZ B2B road trip: NY Rangers to Carolina Shortest distance ETZ non-B2B road game: NY Islanders to New Jersey Longest distance ETZ non-B2B road game: Washington to Florida Shortest distance CTZ only road game: Dallas to Chicago Longest distance CTZ only road game: Minnesota to Dallas Only CTZ B2B road game: Dallas to Chicago Shortest distance B2B road game: LA to Anaheim Shortest distance B2B game on the road with time change (PTZ-MTZ) Anaheim to Phoenix. Now, my question to you, should the Canucks on the road go through a time zone change in one trip?
DollarAndADream
NJ in Vancouver right at the beginning. Love it. Hope it's Schneids VS Lu.
Burnsey
Canucks are a 2:1 split on the road for the first 1/4 of the schedule. Depending on how the new division alignments work out, and Luongo's notorious slow starts, it may be a tough hill to climb just to make the playoffs. Psycho_Path
That 7 game road trip early on is harsh. 2 back to backs and no greater than a day break in between some games. The whole month of October is crazy. 15 games in a month is crazy. I guess that's what an Olympic year will do to a team
BI3KSA-
We play the Sharks twice, and the Devils once, in the first week of the season. Solid start. I'm really looking forward to playing teams like Pitt, NYR, NYI, NJD etc etc, twice a year.
canuckelhead70
seriously what a Mickey Mouse league schedule. How can the NHL justify sending a team criss crossing all over the map on a 7 game road trip with 2 back to back games. Philly-Buffalo-pitts-columbus-NYI-NJ-St. Louis, really this is the best they could do? Philly-pitt-NYI-NJ-Buff-Col- St. Lou wouldn't make it more reasonable?
