metroneck Posted July 23, 2013 Share Posted July 23, 2013 Fucale makes no sense as a pick. The Flames have 5 goaltending prospects that are doing quite well in their respective leagues. Not a lot of teams have that type of prospect depth... The same could be said about the Canucks not taking him. As far as Shinkaruk, if any organization knows him, it would be the Flames. Obviously there is something there they did not like, felt they had too much of in the system, or just liked Porier more. Calling teams out for dumb picks a month after the draft is pointless. SeanAvery16 Posted July 23, 2013 Share Posted July 23, 2013 I think the only way we would've drafted Fucale is if we traded for a pick in the 26th-34th range. But really what would even be the point of taking him? We already have our starting goalie position locked down for the next five years at least, and we have Lack, Eriksson, and Cannata as our prospect goalies who will battle for the back up job.
