It would have been nice to see Burrows on there, but a World Championship roster is very different from an Olympics roster. Burrows only made the WC team because other more deserving players were still occupied with the Stanley Cup playoffs. While Burrows, Bieksa, Garrison, etc are good players, I don't think they can be put in the same category as the other invitees.

Congrats to Lu and Hammer on the invites. Hamhuis is so solid and consistent. Not flashy and doesn't provide a whole lot of offense, but he is steady as can be defensively. Would be a great fit if he makes the team.

For those saying Burrows should go, who on a projected 14 man offense would he replace? Do you really think he's one of the best 14 Canadian hockey players in the league?

He's not even a first line player on our team, so how the heck is he expected to be a player on Team Canada?
