Nuxfanabroad
Was thinking about this yesterday, while posting. Not a fan of either team, but I'm curious how the value of each package is perceived... NJ deals: Schneider, Adam Larsson to Edmonton. Edm sends: Dubnyk, RNH. If either team makes 2014 PO's(& other team misses), they send over their 2014 2nd rounder, as well. (Which would work to ensure fairness/balance). LL is a true Devil(& a sharp GM). Could he pull this stunt on MG? Essentially Larsson for Dubie(overpayment); but also RNH for Horvat(jury's out on that, but Hopkins WAS a top pick). Who wins this deal?

Pavel Burrows
Lol that's an interesting idea that Benifits both teams. Edmonton gets their top d-man and New Jersey gets their 1one centre But that's like us trading Kesler and Lack for Schneider and Larson. New Jersey wins trade by a landslide. Nuxfanabroad
^^But there's a chance Schneids walks away in 2 seasons(or demands huge coin to stay). RNH will be easier to control, coming off an ELC. Both RNH & Larsson have also had some injuries, so there is some risk, both ways...
Pears
Schneider and Larsson are the Devils future, why exactly would they trade them?

kanucks25
1. Lou would never do this, too classy. 2. I'd rather keep Schneider and Larsson. 3. No. edit: 4. No.
Nuxfanabroad
Then look from this angle..at the draft, had LL offered the 9th overall + Larsson, for RNH & Dubie, would MacT have bitten? Probably not, as they'd have an empty goal-cage.

TheMohammadman
Good thing we didn't trade Schneider to Edmonton, there going to have like a 7 year dynasty in like 2 years from now (atleast they have the potential to do so). And stop talking about Schneider, he is NOT a canuck.
Nuxfanabroad
And who would play centre for Edmonton? Then flip Yakupov to TO, for Kadri + something else?.. Hall Kadri Perron Eberle Gagner Hemsky? Larsson & Schultz(& Teubert), to get your D started out. Finally, building around Schneids in net. Probably easier to keep this core financially in-line. as it stands now, their assets are too fwd-heavy.
ForsbergTheGreat
Hint, back to Van provided GMMG moves Luongo now that the pressure is off. All part of the evil genius master plan to actually trade Luongo for Horvat.

Drouin
Wow. NJ takes it easily, Dubnyk is very underrated and wasn't RNH considered to have the best vision since No. 99? Don't think Edmonton needs a top d-man that much anymore. J.Schultz-N.Schultz Smid-Petry Ference-Nurse?
