DownUndaCanuck
Something with a cap hit around 4M. These guys are two of the best conditioned athletes in the game, they will last a long time (unless Tortorella's shot blocking ways break them down). They can play till 40 easily. Something like this: 6M 5M 4M 4M 4M 3M 2M Has them till their 39, then they can decide if they want to go back to play in MODO or keep signing cheap 1 year deals. This will also free up about 4M in cap space for the Canucks which will probably go towards new Tanev/Hansen/rookie contracts.
D.Doughty
8 years 40 million dollar contract. Front loaded at 10 mil in the first 3 seasons. Avg cap hit of 5 mil
canucks#01fan
3 years at 5M Then 1 year contracts after that so they can decide if the wanna stay or go to sweden.

westcoast
honestly, they would be rightfully insulted with an offer like that. Especially with that logic.

Where's Wellwood
4 years, with a cap hit between 4.5-6. They aren't getting a raise. Even though their currents contracts are a discount, their production has started to slip. And most importantly NO NTC/NMC.
BenDrinkin
Any longer than 4 years and any more than 4.5m and I believe it's a mistake. They are quite clearly in decline.
Tangelos
back in 09 they wanted a 12 year deal at around a 4.5M cap hit. Looking back, Gillis probably should have done it.
sims
It'll be around 5.6mil for 5yrs or 5.33mil for 6 yrs. They will still be averaging 70+ points/ yr over the next 3 yrs and 45+ points/yr the 2 or 3 yrs following... look at what 33+ year old players are getting for being less productive than the Sedins are and it's around 5.5mil / yr. This is still a bargain for these guys, with the cap going up there will be plenty of money left to sign future players.
zombieksa
Give them whatever term they want. I couldn't care less if they ask for an 8 year contract, deal with the repercussions later. Honestly I think the max they would want is 4 years so if that is what they want you give it to them, no questions asked. That being said I think if MG gives them a basic blueprint of what he has planned in the next few years they may possibly take less than current value. Anything around 5M a year and I will be thrilled. If it is more than that I will be bummed but it would not be an unwarranted contract. Guys easily get 7M on free market. timberz21
anything below 6.5M will be a bargain Cap should rise 3-4M annually again. Therefore if the Sedins plays decent for another 2 years, their contract will be a bargain, then if they slow down, cap should be back to 70M+ in 3 years, then even if they are 2nd line players by then, 6M won't be that bad. Kooner91
Honestly I wouldn't give them longer than a 4 year deal solely for the fact that they have a desire to go back to Sweden, and I wouldn't wanna risk them retiring before their contract is up, and putting a cap penalty against us which is unnecessary . A 6-6.5mil/year for 3 years seems fair, and then they can go back to Sweden to end their careers there. My dream deal would be >6mil for 3 years, but that really pushing it I would think. BenDrinkin
Its crazy seeing people wanting to give them 6m+ per year! They are not the 100 point players they were. Not even close.
Alex Burrows 14
Wouldn't it be funny if when they retired the canucks fired the whole coaching staff and hired naslund as head coach and the twins as assistants, kirk mclean as the goalie coach and linden as the video guy. Lol that would be awesome
