canuck_forever
I say Lundqvist, I nominate Bobrovsky, but I hope Luongo...
Cigano
Luongo's numbers could go up that wouldn't be an anomaly by any means but your comparison is very weird. You are comparing a 34 year old goalie to a 24 year old goalie who was a developing prospect who just got his 1st starting job. These are very different career points where one player is entering prime years and the other is entering his twilight years. The reason people don't buy someone selling that Luongo will be the best goalie in the NHL with the best numbers is because his play has only declined, the team in front of him doesn't look like it has improved much in the current day, The argument of, "I think he's determined," or "He will get more playing time," aren't exactly the most convincing arguments to think he will suddenly leave the current elite goalies in the dust. AllEyezOnMe
If luongo were to win the vezina it would have happened 2 years ago but he blew it so its highly unlikely he will even come close to it this season. I would be surprised if he got the starting job on the Olympic team but that's just my opinion.

sabatoge95
Not Luongo. Sieve will never win the Vezina, sorry. If they still had Schneider, maybe.

In the Slot
So..tell me...how does Lou go from a .909 SP and GAA of 2.56 to Vezina runner up...whats going to improve his numbers?
canucks#01fan
What? If the Canucks still had Schnieder then maybe Luongo would win the Vezina? That doesn't make sense.

smurf47
what you mean how does he go from? How do you think. So goalies can't have better years than previous? How did Sergei Bobrovsky go from 3.02GAA and .899 SV% on the Flyers and gets moved to CBJ and wins the Vezina? Your post is mind boggling.
BI3KSA-
mind boggling to a non goalie only. If Lou doesn't seal off the bottom of the net better, improve his butterfly, stay balanced over his skates, improve lateral movement, hold onto his stick, direct rebounds better, and cover up more pucks, focus better, then his stats will not improve and he will most certainly not improve or win the Vezina...
