TACIC
I know another Edler proposal but I feel that this one could really help the team. TO VAN: B.Gallagher, 1st TO MTL: A.Edler Edler would have to waive his NTC which is unlikely but I could see that happening though Why VAN does this? We get a young top 6 gritty forward who produces offensively and is a good leader+he played for the Giants so he knows the market and we also get a first rounder which always helps with the depth of our prospect pool Why MTL does this? They get a big physical defenseman(if playing motivated) who chips in offensively and can play big minutes on a MTL team that could use a player of his calibre. Plus their top four would be bolstered and could help them get farther in the playoffs Top 4 MTL: (correct me if I'm missing someone) Edler-Subban Markov-Gorges Good top 4 and that will help them in the playoffs After that trade we sign either Douglas Murray at 2 years 2.5-3 mil or Ryan Whitney at the same price. VAN lineup: FORWARDS [sedin-Sedin-Burrows] This will be our offensive line again that will carry the team offensively most of the time. Creative line and makes things happen [booth-Kesler-Gallagher] This will be a good 2 way line that will score lots of goals but help out defensively but also provide good secondary scoring with Gallagher creativity, Kesler's snipes and Booth power around the net. [Higgins-Richardson-Hansen] This line will be a good checking line as they are all good defensive players but will provide good offense as they are also capable in the other end of making things happen [Weise-Schroeder-Gaunce/Kassian] This will allow Gaunce to get experience in the NHL but if he isn't ready put Kassian in but give him PP minutes for that extra ice time he deserves so he can develop offensively. Weise will provide that grit we need and Schroeder can also switch lines with Richardson if there is a slump but he will help Kassian and Weise produce on that 4th line DEFENSE [Hamuis-Bieksa] Good shutdown pair with good chemistry that really helped us in our cup run but also both of them chipped in offensively when needed and lead the charge in the back end. They will both have good bounce back seasons. [Garrison-Murray/Whitney] Garrison is a good two way defenseman with that cannon that can be paired with defensive defenseman (Murray) or an offensive one (Whitney). With Murray Garrison can play a little more aggressive in the offensive zone knowing Murray will cover for him and with Whitney he will have someone to feed him the puck (sort of like Campbell) but would have to play a little more conservative [Weber-Tanev] Weber will help out offensively and defensively with Tanev making this a nice two way pair that you like to have on that third pair which will help out the Canucks. Corrado will start in the minors but will be called up in the regular season as needed. GOALIES [Luongo] He is still an elite goalie and will carry the team with this team in front of him knowing they will help him out with offense when needed and will be inspired by Torts which will be nice. [Lack] Eriksson is a good prospect but at this point I feel Lack has earned his time in the minors and will start but if he has troubles I feel that Eriksson will slot in nicely as the backup so nothing to be worried about. Drouin
I think maybe we could get a better forward than Gallagher but given the fact he's young and we get a 1st, done. This is how the defensive pairings would be: Hamhuis-Tanev Garrison-Whitney Murray-Bieksa Corrado Weber
Zoolander
Yea this is what I proposed in the Eklund thread. We get a top 6 Talent with speed to go along with Jensen, Gaunce and Kassian's size not to mention a 1st, and MTL gets a top 4 D-Man with excellent top 2 potential. c00kies
Don't think Montreal does this, Gallagher is a terrific, young top 6 forward and a 1st is a lot to give up. They might do it if the pick is a 2nd or if we add a 2nd in the deal.

Outsiders
Edler for Gallagher and a 1st I don't know if mtl does that. If its a second I think mtl almost has to do it. but otherwise its good
TACIC
Here is a better trade between the Canucks and muntreal: to mun Edler, Schroeder, Joslin, Sweatt, 2nd rd pick TO VANCOUVER CANUCKS: Galchenyuk, Tinordi, 1st rd pick

laxgoalie
As a Habs fan I'd do this, not a fan of losing Gallagher though. But the Montreal first rounder would be a very late pick anyways. Habs top 6 would be: Edler - Markov Georges - Subban Emelin - Diaz Or if Subban is on first pairing: Edler - Subban Emelin - Markov Georges - Diaz Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gionta Galchenyuk - Eller - Briere Bourque - Desharnais - Prust Moen - White - Parros (Have fun against these guys)

Nicklas Bo Hunter
I wouldn't mind like Nathan Beaulieu, Eller and a 1st or 2nd for Edler and Schroeder.
Pears
Unless a combination of Eller/Tinordi/Gallagher/1st is coming back Edler is not going to Montreal. Not all four for Edler but one of these four packages: Eller+Tinordi Gallagher+1st Eller+Gallagher Would be good. But if say we throw Subban in, would Montreal sweeten the pot? TACIC
Montreal won't give up Galchenyuk. Not unless it's a severe overpayment by the other team. They don't want our unproven prospects.
laxgoalie
Listen kings fan, I wasn't rude to you. Secondly, I don't live in a house. C.) kings stink 4) the proposal is rock solid from a Canucks perspective...
