Spoderman
As we all know, the 2003 draft was a very strong pool, as players like Getzlaf, Kesler and Parise were taken. But were they all taken at the right spot? I believe the greatest steal of the draft was Hugh Jessiman. He's big, strong and really has made a big impact in the league. Thoughts? stexx
To be serious, the best steal of that entire draft was Shea Weber. He wasn't drafted until the second round.
Niloc009
I'll go with today's 30 million dollar man, Joe Pavelski. 7th round, 205th overall to San Jose.
Keslerific
i dunno, pavelski(7th rd), big buff enstrom (8th rounders) were pretty huge steals. Weber is the best player out of all of them but those 3 came out of nowhere.

Snake Doctor
Very strong draft year. Buff is the biggest steal.
AFrame14
Zerdev was a steal. Picked in the later parts of the draft at number 4. Easily should of gone number 1 overall. How he dropped that far idk. Colombus was dumb for not locking him up to a 10 year contract when they had the chance. No wonder they sucked for so long.
Guest Dasein
I think in this case it is easier to name off the busts than the steals, because almost half the first round was a steal and most had the skills to be top 10 in any other draft.
-Vintage Canuck-
Halak at 271 (9th) Elliot at 291 (9th) Jones at 288 (9th) Moulson at 263 (9th) Oh yeah and BizNasty at 121st (4th)!

Herberts Vasiljevs
Enstrom might be the most underrated D man in the NHL, the poor bastard just has to stay healthy... Enstrom, Bergereon and Weber get my votes.
Pears
Pavelski and Byfuglien are my votes. Top six forward and top two defenseman drafted in the 5th and 8th round? How often does that happen?
Danthecanucksfan
That draft year could be spread out over 3 years and it would still be a good draft
mrsasaki
Byfuglien was definitely the biggest steal, if you know what I mean
