-Vintage Canuck- Posted August 1, 2013 Share Posted August 1, 2013 Former NHLer Zherdev in trouble in Russia: Former NHLer and current KHL forward Nikolai Zherdev got in some trouble this week, after he reportedly partied a little too hard before a scheduled trip to Prague. Zherdev, 28, recently signed with HC Lev Prague of the KHL. According to BBC News in Russia, Zherdev celebrated his new contract by crashing his Bentley, causing a stir in the hotel where he had been staying, the Barvikha Luxury Village in Moscow, getting into a bar fight and losing his passport, which delayed his trip to the Czech Republic. In addition, Zherdev is in the middle of a domestic dispute, as his wife is believed to be filing for divorce. HC Lev Prague GM Rashid Khabibulin confirmed to SovSport.ru in Russia that the team will not take any disciplinary action against Zherdev.
