shinkaruk98
Does it need to be improved? We don't even know who is on the 4th line so how would we know if it needs to be improved. Sorry this is a silly question at this point.
SamJamIam
I can see this as an opening day line up: Sedin Sedin Kassian Burrows Kesler Schroeder Booth Santorelli/Gaunce/Jensen Higgins Richardson Hansen
DrChill
I had many people agree with me. So it's obviously not silly, if it turns out the way i said it would than we are in for another season with a non effective fourth line, have fun with sestito doing nothing. SamJamIam
Is Sestito even on 4th? Or is he 13th? Or at Utica? Who knows?
DeNiro
He's on the 4th. Santorelli is our 13th.

UFCanuck
I think one of our prospects has a chance. Archibald, Mallet, Gaunce, Blomstrand and Friesen are potential players who can play that role.

DeNiro
More like Mallet or Archibald for this year. Gaunce hasn't played a single pro game yet. CDC needs to ease up on the gas when it comes to how fast they expect kids to develop.
Maniwaki Canuck
The great thing is that there are some real options on the 4th line for the first time in years. Lain, Archibald and Mallet could all challenge. If Gaunce can cut it, add him as well. This means that Sestito and Weise will have to pull their socks up if they want to keep their positions. The future is coming: we'll start seeing it on the 4th line this year, and maybe on the 3rd and 2nd lines in the next couple of years.
DrChill
He's on the 4th. Santorelli is our 13th.
Jetliner
4th line just needs to be defensively sound, it doesn't need to be spectacular. I think coaching has a lot to do with having a dependable fourth line. If it can play the system right, then it should be fine. Having our top players perform at their best is far more important IMO, and this has not been the case for the canucks in playoffs

sabatoge95
The Canucks have been underestimating the importance of a good fourth line for years. They're not only there to provide pushback and depth scoring, they should also be able to eat up quality minutes against other teams top lines, so that our top 6 players can rest longer and be fresher. If Sestito and Weise are ever in the lineup at the same time, we have problems. Sestito needs to be sent to Utica until we need him. That 13th forward position should be used for a versatile forward what can play all 3 positions. And yea, it's crucial that somebody from the minors finally steps up. Whether it be Gaunce, Archibald, Mallet, or Blomstrand, we need somebody that can bring energy and pushback night in and night out.
DrChill
We didn't sign him to a one-way, 2 year deal for him not to be in the lineup. He was our best 4th liner for possession/creating chances last year and was on par defensively with Lappy and Weise. Nobody on CDC noticed because AV buried the guy but MG and LG did. As for Santorelli, he's Ebbett but can actually work with a puck on his stick.
Canuck Surfer
What about; Ferreiro/Gaunce/Richardson Thats three guys who go to the corners and fore-check the way you would expect of a 4th line. But they could play against almost all secondary offensive match ups, and chip in a fair few goals as well??? LOL we can sub in Sestito when Carcillo and Ben Eager are in town...
