-Vintage Canuck-
Senators Actively Trying To Trade Jim O'Brien: The club has been trying to deal the contract of C Jim O’Brien, who was a healthy scratch throughout the latter part of the season and the playoffs, without any success. http://www.torontosun.com/2013/07/31/nhl-free-agents-still-looking-for-a-home

Apple Juice
I wouldn't mind him. Good two way forward and is decent at faceoffs even though he's a RW. I think he's a C naturally though. 6'2 as well. He'd be good for depth forwards if we need callups or anything.. I honestly rather have O'Brien over Sestito AND Weise. Dogbyte
Perfect opportunity to get rid of our second pick next year early on in the game Then we don't have to worry about it later. Just like sluffing the A of Spades in hearts. This is why GM MG out GM's all other GM's.
canucklehead44
To Ottawa: Weise & 4th round pick To Vancouver: O'Brien & 6th round pick Pretty similar players, O'Brien more versatile and Weise is grittier.

elvis15
Heck even Sestito for O'Brien would be a solid move but I doubt they do it since they just re-signed Sestito. Would O'brien be an upgrade over Weise to warrant the move?

bigpush
Still young (24) and knows the defensive part of the game, I would take him for the 4th for the right price, which gives us 2 guys that can take faceoffs as well as C depth in case of injuries. Richardson O'Brien Weise Sesitito, Santorelli
Phil_314
He may not be an S.O.B. but if he can get the J.O.B. done then I'd say bring him in Gillis!
Millerdraft
Man, I remember that draft year when there were rumours that the Senators were going to draft Patrick White instead of Jim O'Brien had Vancouver not selected White earlier... ...which brings to mind a line from Superbad regarding fake ID: "Why the f*** would it be between McLovin' & Muhammad?!"
