Pears
If he was Erhoff wouldn't they be keeping him? besides doesn't he have concussion problems, seems to be injured a lot.
Rick Grimes
Liles is a player we could use here... We haven't had a legit PP Quarterback since Ehrhoff; I think being surrounded by our already talented PP could be enough to put him back into 49 pt form; I think he has been a victim of the T.O. System and still has ALOT left in the tank.
Dogbyte
Hamhuis - Edler Garrison - Bieksa Liles - Tanev Yes please. Liles is like a Ehrhoff-lite type player.
Dogbyte
You're missing Joe Colborne on the 3rd and then they have some guy named Trevor Smith signed for a year.. edit: honestly, I'd rather see them trade Kulemin, sign both Kadri and Franson, and use Paul Ranger as a forward on the 3rd/4th line. I know he's better at D but think about it, it could turn out to be another Brent Burns project
Langdon Algur
If they do I'd sign him for 1.5M~ to run our PP.
Noseforthenet
Just gonna say it...Liles and Garrison would be absolutely deadly on the powerplay and as a good pairing because Garrison is a great stay at home type.
Ron Swansons Moustache
Wow, Nonis is working some magic there lol How do you go from having the second most cap space to not enough to sign your best RFAs? The Leafs still have Tucker, Armstrong on the payroll from buyouts lol.
TOMapleLaughs
Basically coming to terms with Nonis killing their cap space.

Ron Swansons Moustache
You sign Clarkson for 5.25 mil and trade for an expensive 3C, all while forgetting the cap goes down. Pretty simple really.

Guest Dasein
Ok, I am very confused. What is the difference between compliance buyout and regular buyout? Some people here are suggesting that the Leafs have used BOTH their compliance buyouts, but they can still buy players out using a regular buyout? I was under the impression that each team only got TWO buyouts to use this summer or the next, and they can't buy players out afterwards. I was not aware that teams could buy players out any time they wanted to with a "regular buyout". If such a thing exists, what is the difference? Guest Dasein
Ah, okay I see. Thanks guys. So we could have used our one other compliance buyout on Roberto, but the owners did not want to pay up? Or Gillis would rather get a piece back in return for one of the goaltenders. Personally, between trading Schneider for the #9 pick and buying Roberto out with a compliance buyout, I think trading Schneider made more sense, as I believe Luongo is still good enough to take us all the way, and Schneider got us a good young player.
