Shredder
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/report-nhl-wants-expansion-team-in-seattle/ gary bettman reportly pushing the matter of an expansion team in seattle. would be exciting ! I live 20 mins from the border, so driving down to watch a game wouldnt be too bad either !
etsen3
Regional rivalries don't really work as well when one team is far superior to the other. Look at Vancouver vs. Calgary. Chances are an expansion team would be very weak. True rivalries are born out of nasty games and playoff encounters.

PavelsElbow
A team in Seattle would be amazing. Driving down for playoff games. Cheap n easy. It would be a fun and intense rivalry! Hopefully Bettman n the gang end up making it happen.

one-x
Call me bitter, but Boston's always going to be my most hated team.
etsen3
Bettmans word against yours, but alright i guess you're right. Sorry, i didnt know you were a part of the leagues board of governers or an NHL commissioner. In the NHL, the outcome of every game isnt set in stone. We win and we lose. Every player works their @$$ off to make it to the NHL so lowballing any team is an insult You have to take into consideration injuries, size, speed, home ice advantage etc btw u must suck at SportsAction
:D
Canucks don't have a real rival at the moment. There are a few Canuck fan-invented rivalries, but they aren't shared.

canucks#01fan
They wouldn't expand because of financial problems and whatnot but for other reasons. One being every division will have an equal amount of teams. This is what I can see happening, Expanding to Seattle and Quebec, Move Florida to Portland
