CanucksFanMike
http://www.news1130.com/2013/08/02/heritage-classic-tickets-pricier-than-expected/ To sum up the article, tickets start at $93 but you will need to spend at least $177 in order to actually see the play. The most expensive ticket is $313 in the club section.
Grapefruits
Not sure why this should be a surprise to anyone. I expected the seats to be about the price they are. The cost for the club section seats was a shocker though. The club section is nice though.
Common sense
Well, that's a shock.
Drouin
I expected some to cost that much but Daly said some would cost less than the prices for games at Rogers Arena.
TheRussianRocket.
No offense, but despite the atmosphere a classic brings, I think it's pretty stupid how the fans at the game see the actual game. The rink is it's usual size, but there's a fairly lengthy area around the perimeter of the rink which is empty space (for cables, wires, advertizents, etc...) and then the seats for fans - a good 50 feet away at least from the action. ...people at the games barely get to see the action cause it's so far away and not taking anything away from the classic, but this is a major flaw I see which really sucks...I'm planning on attending this classic against the Sens but just wanted to voice this out - anyone agree/disagree or have their take on this subject? bobopan
I honestly thought we'd see some tickets in the 40$ range.. Im not surprised by the top end price. I kinda doubt this thing sells out which is a shame.
rampage
Ugh. I just hope that there isn't a crap load of empty seats in BC Place during this thing. It would be embarrassing but at these prices they are increasing the risk of that.
DeNiro
Tickets start at $93? WTF? What a ridiculous gimmick to try and gouge loyal fans. I thought that's who this was supposed to be for after all. You know, a nice reward for all the BS that fans put up with through the lockout? What was it that De Bonis said about this event? That it wasn't about making money for the Canucks? Hah! I think the hair gel must be seeping into that guys brain.
PlayStation
Gonna be playoffs 2013 all over again. Hope they dont sell half the tickets.
Warhippy
There's NO question now that this coupled with the 314 "outdoor" games the league is holding this year is simply trying to recoup losses from the lockout. Honestly, 50k or more fans is easily doable in BC Place....but at $93 to start in the upper upper nosebleeds I expect a lot of empty seats. I for one cannot justify over $400 in costs for my family to go and basically watch this on the jumbotron when we could sit at home and watch it for the price of a pizza on a tv without some uptight clown asking us to be quiet and not cheer for our team so loudly. Screw this high priced game, screw Bettman and without question screw where this game is heading with its elitist mentality. We pulled my nephew because total cost for equipment, fees travel and camps was almost $8,000 for the year. And he's good.....$93 to see this, I am ever so pissed as my daughter was hoping to see this since the original was so fun. Gonna break it to her now, and enjoy watching a full week of games with the young stars tournament next month for less than the cost of 1 nosebleed seat in an "outdoor stadium"
canucks.brad
im not surprised one bit. and scalpers will get a fair chunk of that. too steep of a price for a crappy game that no one will be able to see. sorry. im not going.
Karlsson`s Flo
The only way ownership will pull this off with those prices is if the Canucks play like they were in 2010-11. If Canucks don't play well or even if they play 50/50, people will not buy tickets.
Martin Frk
93 Bucks for the cheapest seat, would have thought it would have been cheaper then that. Its going to be embarrassing if this game doesn't sell out.
Harvey Specter
Given it is listed as a NHL ran event, it isn't a huge surprise that the tickets are starting at $93. Even with De Bonis mentioning that it isn't about the Canucks making money off the event, you have the wonder how much that is true. We'll see how the event sells closer to the day of and maybe it'll be worth it in the end to experience it.
DeNiro
If this event sells out they'll probably make close to 10 million dollars. That doesn't even include merchandise and concession sales either.

bobopan
Just for perspective tickets for the T.O. Detroit winter classic go from $89-$279.. so similar priced albeit truly a outdoor experience. Still a rip off, cannot believe teams are charging this much.
pimpcurtly
Jesus that's expensive. I was hoping $50 for cheap seats.
