Warhippy
http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2013/08/06/us-terminally-ill-boy-best-man.html The mother of a terminally ill two-year-old western Pennsylvania boy who served as his parents' best man at their wedding says he has died. Christine Swidorsky Stevenson says on her Facebook page that Logan Stevenson died in her arms at 8:18 p.m. Monday at the home she shared with the boy's father and her new husband, Sean Stevenson. The couple live in Jeannette, about 40 kilometres east of Pittsburgh. They were wed at a weekend ceremony at their home. A family spokeswoman, Sylvia Johnson, confirmed the boy's death for The Associated Press on Tuesday. The boy, who had leukemia and other complications, was dressed in a tan pinstripe suit and orange shirt for Saturday's 12-minute ceremony. His mother says on Facebook, "He is with angels and he's in no more pain." Not going to lie. I almost teared up a bit. Saw this on the news last night read the story this morning. Heart wrenching. Warhippy
I can't joke about this, I went and hugged my daughters immediately after reading this story. I figured we could all take moment and reflect on what's important in our lives as opposed to complaining about a trade made or a player not signed. This story hurt to read but needed to be read. Such a tragic loss.

Danthecanucksfan
I hate to see stuff like this. The thought of a baby dieing makes me feel sick. They never got to experience life, friendships, family, love, or passion. They left this world faster than they came in, a true tragedy.

LeanBeef
That's a little awkward, ain't it? The boy apparently took the step dad's name, too.
red&white
I'm not one that usually gets any emotional reaction from news stories, but first reading about Logan on the weekend at his parents wedding and the news today has had a real effect on me and I don't even have any kids. RIP little man
Offensive Threat
Leukemia in children is often curable. But not children that young. poor little guy. Never had a chance. Never caught a fair break. I have a nephew who just turned 3 a week ago. Thankfully hes perfectly healthy. Its hard to imagine this happening to someone even younger than him.
