D-Money
I moved from Vancouver to Calgary years ago. One reason? Just filled up for 108.9. Another reason? My inner-city home on a 50' by 120' lot cost less than $400,000. Basement rental pays for over half my mortgage. Another reason? The booze is cheaper. Another reason? PST - frack that! Love Vancouver, but it's just too expensive. And the City/Province is always trying to find new ways to gouge its citizens (see: bypassing federal law to institute a toll on the trans-canada highway, new payment measures for transit, etc., etc.). Xbox
Wow! In Ontario, I find 127 expensive. Those prices are so high

surtur
1.36 here in Dawson Creek. I remember last November I went to Edmonton to see a concert and gas was .98 a liter. The first and probably last time I will get to pump gas for under a dollar a liter.
Tortorella's Rant
I get the 91? for my car. I remember a few weeks ago it was $1.50. What a god damn joke. And my idiot friend was like, "hey, I'm bored, lets go cruising." ....

lowest common denominator
Haha BC is effed. Pipelines going east and south, and they want to save the world. Blame the Liberals!
vavoom
Its expensive to live in BC, that is not really news. People make a big deal out of gas prices, but it really isn't that big of a deal. Even if you fill up $100 every week, the 30% difference in cost only works out to be $1560 a year, $130 per month. Most people don't fill up $100 every week, I fill $80 every 3-4 weeks because I use the skytrain to get to work. The higher cost of fuel cost me about $30 a month. (Before you point out that there is a cost to a transit pass, its still cheaper than parking downtown) If I move to Calgary, I would have to use the $30 a month savings to finance a snow blower for their awesome winters.
