McBackup
I'm 19 and my hairline is receding quite rapidly. It sucks but it doesn't bug me too much. I wasn't winning any beauty contests in the first place.

To be honest I wouldn't have doubted it, but then I thought about guys who wear turbans all day... I've seen that hair when it's let down. It ain't falling out. Mr. Shakermaker
take propecia and rogaine to slow it, it's best if you kick it off within five years, earlier the better. All it did was slow mine down, but I was still losing it. Some will have better effects than others. There are also a lot of articles from the last year or so out about scientists having discovered a protein that blocks the growth of hair follicles within men suffering from male pattern baldness, a cure could be on shelves in the next 3-5 years which would be a beauty p.s. what's with all the stupid pictures in this thread? Answer the guy's question or take off eh!

CanuckGAME
I shave my head #1, I have a full head of hair, I'm 24, but my hair is thinning. MPB runs in my family, I know I will one day lose my hair, but I like the look of a #1 so I'm prepared and If you have a muscular build, chicks dig a guy with a shaved head. When the day comes for me where I'm bald, I'm definitely going for the Jason Statham look, also a #1 shaved head is beauty in the morning, I save so much time not having to worry about my hair, I just roll out of bed, brush my teeth, shower, deoderant, cologne, And I'm out the door. Unfortunately however, some people have poorly shaped heads/faces that really don't work well with the bald look.

avelanch
Unless your brother has different parents, or astronomical stress and unique medical/health issues, then it's only a matter of time for you, too. It's genetic. It's only a matter of how much you'll lose, not if. I used to always think it was weird how Prince William has such thin hair while Harry seemed to literally have a solid orange mass covering his head. Then I saw a photo of him from a couple of months ago, and it looks like he's catching up to his brother pretty quick. ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS, BUDDY same parents, and we look close enough that there's no question at all. my brother had some medical issues, and dropped out of university the first go round because of stress/depression. He started thinning at 19 or so, I am nearly 32, and there are no signs of thinning, at all. my brother always had thin/fine hair like my dad, i always had thick hair, like my mom. Guess I just missed out on those genes (just because it's genetic, doesn't mean you're going to get that gene). also, my dad isn't bald, but grey and really thin (in the hair department, not in general)
