Bure fan
I wonder how much per year. Stastny isn't sticking around too much longer.
Lancaster
Hopefully he doesn't end up like Paul Stastny.

Darth Kane
7 years $39 million - $5.751 millions AAV, not bad if he develops into the player he supposed to be.

timberz21
Bettman instead of pushing for 6-7-8 maximum contract lenght, should have push for limited lenght on young player's 2nd contract. After the original ELC, young player should be limited to a 3-4 years contract to prove their worth before signing life long contracts. Proof was made that 10-12-15 years contract lenght blew up in pretty much every team's face. Luongo, Kovalchuk, Dipietro, Lecavalier, and maybe in a few years even Ovechkin. The only exception was Marian Hossa who signed a 10 years 40M deal with the Hawks.
Alchemy Time
Woah woah woah woah woah. Landeskog's a fantastic player, but 7 years, 5.8 mil? After 2 years? That's a big commitment.

Alchemy Time
They already named him youngest Captain, so they have already committed to him . Not so surprised .
TOMapleLaughs
Premature, considering the early concussion history. I'd much rather have the Couturier bridge contract, along with Philly's relatively stacked lineup.
TOMapleLaughs
This raises the bar for all current high-impact RFA's, imho.
TheRussianRocket.
Anything under $6 mill for Landeskog is great value. I usually hate when players this young sign these long term deals but Gabriel is a different beast. He's already named captain - youngest captain in history that is - so the Avs locking him up comes to no surprise.

Jägermeister
Solid signing. He may not have proven himself worth it just yet, but he will be worth it in the end.
Nuxfanabroad
They rush these kids, & they end up takin' a beatin'. Was a pretty nasty concussion. Similar to Edm's Hall & RNH. Better to hold these young stars back, a yr or two, if possible. Hope we don't rush our crop.

Monty
Though I do think he's not quite worth the $5.8 right now, he will be very shortly. Good signing.
