Well face it - he's probably right. Tanev isn't very physical, is a good puck mover and has quick legs so would thrive on a larger ice surface with less hitting.

The NHL has lost a lot of skill this offseason to the KHL, hopefully this doesn't pick up any momentum.

It's a fine line between holding out for a little more money and being a greedy little D-bag.

If he's committed to the Nucks, I don't think it should be this hard to reach a deal. The comparables are there for both sides to see. Unless the Canucks are lowballing him.

A little recruiting act by Tambo there…. MG just needs to get Tanev done before he bolts to Russia. Even though he is Canadian, he does have Russian parents so it is quite a realistic possibility that he does that.
