Outsiders
He's a 6'6 200 pound plus defenseman. He's strong and clears the net, plus he's only 21 which means there's probably a lot of upside to his offensive game. What would it take to get him outta Montreal? qwijibo
Eller just had a break out season and Montreal traded up to get Tinordi. In addition both are the kind of players Bergevin loves. Big with character. I doubt you'll see either traded any time soon
Warhippy
IF it happened it would be a package deal most likely, they'd need a roster D back, probably Tanev or Edler, maybe Bieksa. Then depdning on the quality of D going to the Habs, Tanev + 1st/2nd. Edler + 5th Bieksa + 2nd or 3rd at the least. I know Q says never going to happen but that's about realistic and any one of those players wouldn't be a bad pick up for a prospect alone who won't play full time minutes in a top 6 role this year

Smashian Kassian
A Habs fan on HF said he wouldn't trade Tinordi for Edler, so I guess the price would be sky high.

silver_surfer
If only MB hadn't traded up to get Tinordi, we wouldn't have had the Grabner/Ballard debacle. Apparently Gillis was pretty high on him too....

silver_surfer
My bad, that was Gauthier, his first draft. Still. It would have required the 2nd round pick that we sent to Buffalo but would Phoenix have taken Steve Bernier instead? Ha!
Wiznac
MB wasn't the Gm then, but yeah,I remember a lot of Canuck fans were disappointed when Montreal traded up to draft him
qwijibo
I agree i wanted Grabner to stay instead of Raymond .... also there would have been no ballard and we would have drafted Tinordi............ Bummer
silver_surfer
If you trace it back a little further and say that the Steve Bernier trade was what nixed our chances at Tinordi, well then we'd wind up with Brayden McNabb too (Buffalo drafted him with the 3rd round pick (LA) from that trade). Talk about a beefy third pairing (6'5/6'6).

qwijibo
I would think the Habs are trying to trade away one of their defenceman than acquiring one. Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gallagher Galchenyuk - Eller - Briere Bourque - x - Gionta Moen - White - Prust Parros A third line centerman (Schroeder?) for a defenceman? -Vintage Canuck-
Why would Montreal trade for Schroeder when they have Desharnais? Theyre in better shape Center wise than Vancouver (Plekanec, Eller Desharnais, Galchenyuk, white)
