Absent Canuck
I dont think Ottawa gives up their premier 3rd line gritty guy who can also fight and score
kanucks1
That could actually happen at the trade deadline if Ottawa is out of a playoff spot. But not right now.

CaNuCkSLoUiE23
It would probably take a 2nd rounder, and a B level prospect to get him out of Ottawa. He's a fan favourite, a leader on a team of youngsters, and he brings it night in and night out. I don't think a 3rd rounder and a no-name prospect could fetch a player like Neil. slappipappi
How does this work for Ottawa? They're not trading a player they like who is cheap for junk.

Plum
I like, but I think Labate will definitely be a lock for a top role on the Canucks in the future, so if they do decide to trade him it'll cost ott much more than just neil. I could see them swinging Labate and Booth for neil and conacher... That would give the Canucks some real solid fwd depth...
BCNeil
Why is Ottawa looking to trade Neil?

Alex Burrows 14
lol probably not. Besides Karlsson although offensively gifted is severely overrated. He's like a hyped version of MAG who seems to have disappeared. Spezza however, would be nice to seem wearing the orca...
lockout2012
I would love for Neil to be a Canuck. He is the kind of player that they need. Unfortunately, that proposal would not get it done.
Aladeen
Labate for the entire Ottawa Organization, which then becomes a farm team for the Canucks.... the most beautiful part of my plan? We get Labate back!
Jägermeister
Ottawa wouldn't give Neil up that easy.
Hunter.S-Kerouac
Neil is one of the best 3rd liners in the league and a fan favourite in Ottawa. Bottom line he sells tickets ownership wouldn't let him go unless the offer was crazy lopsided in their favour.
