Captain Bob
I like kale, but really none of those things aside from hockey madness are really unique to Vancouver, and the city was MUCH better before it became obsessed with all things, green, hipster, gay, yuppie etc. "Hockey madness" is definitely not unique to Vancouver. Also, Vancouver isn't hockey mad, they are Canucks mad. If they were hockey mad, there would be a huge demand for Giants tickets.
inane
Well that's what they're popularily referred to, just as when some mentions "hippies" in the present context they don't necessarily mean stereotypical originals from the '60s and '70s. Batmania
perky butts are fine, lululemon isn't after outsourcing its production to cambodia and the like, lululemon maintained its outrageous prices for bizarrely marketed, low quality goods (vitamin pants?) the company lost its CEO after the most recent embarrassing publicity (see-through pants), and it also lost 18% of its stock value but don't worry: right before the stock plummeted, the greasy chairman and founder, chip wilson, offloaded $112 million of his shares in the company how the sentient, humane-conscious yoga crowd could continue to support this hilarious company after years of Nike-izing is beyond me
aGENT
If we can get Kesler to wear them up the Grouse Grind we can call the Vancouver Experiment a success and move on to something else.
Lychees
In regards to being a foodie, is it really that bad to want to enjoy the food to it's best ability? Which usually requires you step outside the comfort zone of Keg/Milestones type of restaurants.
