CanucksFanMike
I think Alberts played well enough last year that I don't really have a problem with penciling him in every night. Edler Garrison Hamhuis Bieksa Alberts Tanev Weber
Drouin
If Garrison-Edler works, Whitney then Kuba. Wouldn't mind Gill on a PTO either.
DownUndaCanuck
Would take Zanon or Hainsey in a heart-beat. Zanon is a shot-blocking machine and always played well in Minnesota's defensive system which will be very similar to the type of style Tortorella employs. At the same time, our young, nervous defencemen like Edler, Tanev, Corrado and Bieksa need a true veteran presence that Hainsey brings to the table. Since Salo left our defence has ben in shambles - a veteran presence is needed in the worst way, especially when the pressure mounts in the playoffs. Sign Hainsey to a 1M, 1 year deal. Hamhuis - Bieksa Edler - Garrison Hainsey - Tanev Alberts Weber Corrado Hamhuis, Bieksa, Edler and Garrison log around 22 minutes a game, ideally for 82 games Tanev can play 15-18 minutes comfortably for about 60 games Hainsey can play 15-18 minutes comfortably for about 60 games Alberts can step in and play 20 games Weber can play 10 games Corrado can play 10 games Obviously injuries would change them, but our 3rd pairing should be a rotating door to keep the internal competition high. Dogbyte
Kaberle. Hainsey would be a mistake IMO. No offence, doesn't hit and doesn't fight. I think he'd become a scapegoat
