nuckfan55
I'm wanting to cut my cable TV service. The only thing holding me back is losing my sports especially Canucks games. Does anyone know where to watch "live" online? Thanks in advance
mbal23
There are places on the interweb you can watch hd Canuck games but they usually are the other teams broadcast channels.
Smashian Kassian
https://gamecenter.nhl.com/nhlgc/secure/gclsignup Seems like a really cool thing for people who don't have TV, can watch any game, whenever you want.

nux4lyfe
Yupp, NHL Game Center, Don't expect anyone to be sharing any 'free' links because that's not allowed here.

Drive-By Body Pierce
Cutting cable? ...is that anything like laying carpet? ...anyway, I tried exploring this route a few times. Unfortunately the NHL has us locals by the balls with their little feature of regional blackout restrictions. This means that if you IP is from an area within Sportsnet Pacific's region, the game will not be available to you through gamecenter. There are other "less legal" options out there, but the reliability and quality is not up to my standards. I want high quality, no glitching and no cutting out. That's certainly not guaranteed by the other sources.
Drive-By Body Pierce
Gamecenter might be good if you don't live in the same region as your favourite team, at least less blackout issues, but keep in mind gamecenter also doesn't broadcast playoff games, being blacked out because they are carried on national television. Cunuck
I haven't tried it myself but I've heard that hockeystreams.com has better/cheaper streams than NHL Gamecenter (with no blackouts as well).
Dogbyte
I can't stand watching sports on the web. Is the glitchiness getting any better? I keep hearing that it's really good and has gotten better. Than I get a link from some kid and what you know, chop, chop, chop. I guess maybe some people don't understand that watching sports in anything but continuous real time motion is a complete waste of time. I get Center Ice though so I don't care much anyway. aGENT
Another option would be to get just basic and sports package from ~Oct through~June and cancel it otherwise going with OTA and Netflix etc the rest of the time.
TheRocket18
Well if you want High Quailty its gonna cost you. I had TV cable cut for the past 2 months and enjoy everything on XBMC on my laptop. Tricky to get it set up, theres some forums out there to help you. xbmc.org has more info. You must have good internet for this to work, as everything streams on your pc.
