Martin Frk
Dosn't Really make much sense for either side since Colorado has Varlamov
Amish Rake Fighter
Sure it does. Varlamov has been a below average starter for a number of years now. Miller is a sizable upgrade in net for Colorado. For Buffalo, Stastny would immediately become their #1 center. This could also take away some leverage from Cody Hodgson as he'd no longer be their best center. Or he'd just demand another trade. Plus, I believe both of them are pending UFAs so there's not a ton of risk with the contracts.
Plum
Stastny + Varlamov for Miller?
theminister
Maybe this could be a bigger deal with Hodgson going back to Colorado too? A swap of goalies and a swap of centres plus other pieces? Reuniting with Duchene?

Nuxfanabroad
Miller>Varlamov, Hodgson>Statsny. Makes no sense, Buffalo would be blind to do this.
silver_surfer
Miller + McBain for Statsny + Giguere + 2nd, solves a myriad of problems for both teams.
Angry Goose
I can imagine what Cody Hodgson's dad will say if this trade goes through...
hudson bay rules
I can see why both teams would be interested. Both players need a fresh start and both are risks of walking without compensation after this year.
Alex Burrows 14
This makes no sense whatsoever. Especially for Colorado.

In the Slot
Why would Buffalo take on Stastny and his massive contract in exchange for Miller and his massive contract when they've so many good young centers?
Master Mind
I could see the deal happening if it was something along the lines of Stastny and Varlamov for Miller + No sense Colorado trading for Coho, he'd be behind Duchene, O'Reilly, and soon enough, MacKinnon. He'd ask for a trade.
Sergei Bobrovsky
Make sense why both teams are interested but straight up Miller for Statsny is terrible. Buffalo would never do that. Although that could be the base of the trade Buffalo needs more in return unless they just want nothing to do with Miller lol Maybe we can see a Miller for Statsny+Downie type of deal? Value is pretty fair seeing that Miller's value dropped because of last season After all Buffalo is still looking for some grit after the Lucic incident and Downie brings exactly that.
