Everybody Hates Raymond
World of Warcraft Movie will start filming in January 2014 in my hometown, Vancouver British Columbia! A lot of movies were made based on games, this will probably become the most successful. With over 10 million subscribers at it’s peak, this Warcraft franchise will not be short of fans who will pay to watch this movie. Additionally, in the World of Warcraft there are a lot of epic stories; all of them can be turned into a movie. Blizzard has been creating a lot of awesome CGI videos for their games. For example, check out trailer for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls. The movie will be produced by Legendary Pictures, producers of Pacific Rim, Godzilla (2014), 300: Rise of an Empire (2014). The director was announced to be Duncan Jones (Director of ‘Source Code’). Let’s hope everything turns out and the project doesn’t get scrapped. Theatrical release is currently set to 2015. ckamo
I have no clue about WoW, but does anyone else think Natalia Tena (aka Tonks/Osha) from that first picture?
ChenWei91
Why does it suck? I only played WoW for a couple of weeks but I thought it was really fun, just not something I had the patience for. I thought Warcraft 2 and 3 were amazing.

Offensive Threat
Video games turned into movies have performed poorly because so many of them were directed by Uwe Boll. Bloodrayne, Far Cry, Alone in the dark, Dungeon siege etc. He was working for a German film company that was getting huge subsides and tax exemptions from the German Government for making the movies there. The subsidies were so large that the movies didnt have to be a success for the company to turn a profit. Look at the list of Uwe Boll directed movies on IMDB . There is a fair number of them and almost all are rated lower than 5 out of 10. There is no reason why WoW cant be made into a decent movie, theres a big enough world and enough storylines to do a whole series of movies. Like any movie it all depends on a decent script, workable budget and the execution.
