NHL 11 Be A GM Mode prospect question

I recently drafted a goalie first overall(scouts projected him to be 1st), and he has really good potential. He is 57 overall right now. In terms of future growth, would it be better to send him back to the juniors, or use him as my backup in the NHL? And yes, I still play NHL 11(best one in my opinion).

You can do one of two things:

1) If you think your AHL team is strong enough to still do well with a 57 OVR goaltender and you can use him in the AHL, use him as your AHL starter. You get double XP for wins IIRC and an AHL starter playing ~60 games on a good AHL team will usually gain 15-20 points, depending on how far they go in the playoffs.

2) If not, leave him unsigned and let him play in juniors/whatever league he was drafted out of.

He can't play in the AHL until he is 20(he is 18 I think), and I already signed him to his 3 year entry contract.

Leave him in Junior then. He won't get enough games as a backup to get the XP necessary to overcome the difference from Junior, plus you waste a year of his ELC.

At 57 overall I would leave him unsigned and back to Jr. for a year or even two, depending on how he develops.
