Big next 5 games!

These next 5 games coming up are big ones. They are a huge measuring stick for where we stand in our division as we face off against the big four we are competing with. Vancouver, Phoenix, Anaheim, and San Jose all have more points than any team in the east, with Vancouver just 1 point behind Pitts. This division is definitely the most competitive in the league. It;s good to see that we are in the thick of it.

One game against Phoenix

One game against LA

One game against Anaheim

Two games against San Jose

We are 2 points behind San Jose and Anaheim, 1 point behind Phoenix, and 3 points ahead of LA.

After this stretch of 5 games, we will be at the 1/4 mark of the season. After these games Gillis should take a serious look at what we have and what we may need to compete in our division.

It's very likely that we'll play at least one of San Jose, Anaheim, or LA in the playoffs too.

Huge test for this team. It's time to play some of the best.

Speaking of the playoffs, suppose that we get the wild card berth such that we play the 1st place team in the Central. If we beat that team (probably Chicago although Colorado is playing great now based on solid goaltending), do we continue to play against the Central division team? So it's possible that a pacific team may win the Central division.

Toronto is a good team but with five losses in 15 are no world beaters.

The Canucks have the same record and have only beaten two winning clubs in their 16 games played.

After this road trip the team has reached the litmus test / 20 game mark.

Pay attention because this is it.

a legit 2C is what we need if Kesler stays on the first line - which he should
