(Proposal) Vancouver New York I

To New York

Tanev

Jensen or Schroeder

To Vancouver

Nielsen

Ideally I would trade Edler but, they just resigned him and the NTC doesn't make that a real feasible option.

Islanders are stacked on offense but lack defense on their team. They also value a good deal hence Tanev.

Vancouver needs scoring punch, this gives us lots of options.

Sedin Sedin Kesler

Burrows Nielsen Kassian

Higgins Santorelli Hansen

Booth Richardson Welsh/Weise

Hamhuis Bieksa

Stanton Garrison

Edler Corrado

Luongo

Lack

Move the lines around how u will, this makes us a better team.

Am I the only one wondering how Edler's value is equal to Tanev + Jensen/Schroeder?

Sorry didn't mean they are equivalent, just that I would ideally trade Edler personally, for value of return, caps page and to even out our left and right handedness

I don't think Nielsen is a top-6 forward, more of a 2-way center. Not needed anymore with Richardson and Santorelli.

Is he a 2nd line center?

I really like this proposal but I don't think he is a 2nd line center and I don't know if Islanders accept but then again they do need defense.

Why don't u think he is a second line center?

YEAR TEAM LEAGUE GP G A PTS

2013-14 NY Islanders NHL 20 9 12 21

2012-13 NY Islanders NHL 48 6 23 29

2011-12 NY Islanders NHL 82 17 30 47

2010-11 NY Islanders NHL 71 13 31 44

2009-10 NY Islanders NHL 76 12 26 38

That is 57 goals ( 0.19goals per game)

That is 122 assists ( 0.41 assists per game)

That is 179 points ( 0.60 points per game)

That is a pretty decent 2nd liner

This year and last he is doing even better .74 points per game.

Consistency is there which is important for us who lack scoring.

Now he is not great in the faceoffs, 49% this year and last 45% the year before.

Maybe putting Kesler on his wing as a scorer and for taking draws would work well

He's also on an offensive team in the Eastern conference. I don't think he'd exceed in the gritty Pacific division, especially since he's not a big or overly skilled player.
