Big moves by Montreal (+Downie, Ott, Zajac) and Pittsburgh (+Chara, Steckel) kinda forced me to improve my roster at the deadline to keep pace.

Phoenix – Douglas Murray will be in the lineup against the Coyotes for the first time since being traded away yesterday, and his return as a Florida Panther gave all of us the obvious story line after the morning skates.

Murray now hoping to get regular shifts with the Panthers after dealing with injuries and missing a few games as a healthy scratch, was his usual insightful self, happy to be back in the building he played in for parts of eight seasons and sounding genuine when he said he has no hard feelings toward the franchise that gave him his start in the NHL.

You want to know why Murray was popular with the media? Because he knows how to field questions like a shortstop.

Example: I wanted to ask him a version of the same question I put to Ryane Clowe less than a week earlier in New Jersey. I wanted to know how each felt about all the attention the Sharks got as a faster team that turned its season around after they were gone.

This was Murray’s response: “Anytime you trade me away and add somebody else, it’s going to get faster. I’m not going to argue with that. But you’re also getting softer.”

No deals came our way before the deadline we thought would make sense for the organization at this point in time.

I hope this off-season will be much different. We are looking to reshape this team into a younger team which may mean almost everyone on the roster may be had for the right price.

Hate to say this, but it looks like we will most likely be retiring Tim Bozon at the end of this season (sorry Chimon :( )

MONTREAL -

Montreal Canadiens prospect Tim Bozon, who has been battling meningitis in a Saskatoon hospital, has been placed in an induced coma.

Les Lazaruk, the radio voice of the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades and the sports director for the Saskatoon Media Group, told QMI that Bozon was placed in an induced coma on Thursday.

“His folks have been with him since Sunday,” said Lazaruk.

Lazarus said that he isn’t sure when doctors will try to wake Bozon from the induced coma.

“I don’t think that we’ll be getting much more information," he said.

Bozon, who plays for the Kootenay Ice, was admitted to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon on March 1.

He was diagnosed with bacterial meningitidis, and has been listed as in critical condition.

The day before being admitted to hospital, he scored for Kootenay in a game versus Saskatoon.

Bozon was drafted 64th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2012 NHL draft.

His father, Philippe Bozon, played in the NHL for the St. Louis Blues.

Had meningitis earlier in the year, was a viral strain so obviously not as serious.

My thoughts go out to his family.

My brother and sister both had it. My friends baby passed away from it last year. Very sad to hear about Bozon
