Ossi Vaananen
Well he was also moved off of the McDavid line, now he plays more with Gaunce and Burakovsky than McDavid/Brown. Dang our young stars tourney roster is going to be filthy: Shinkaruk - Horvat - Fox Gaunce - Cassels - Kenins Cederholm - Subban McEneny - Liberati Throw another 1-3 round picks this year and we are finally looking deep. Not to mention if any of our Uni prospects go pro, the addition of Hutton or LaBate could be huge. Can start to fill Utica with solely Canuck property ( and the odd vet). Crazy thing is Fox, Shinkaruk, Gqunce, Kenins and McEneny all graduate to pro and are on contract for next season. All this money going to development is looking like it will pay off. S N Y P E R S 7
https://www.facebook.com/DaneFox74 My only comment on this thread is going to be posting this link because it is Dane Fox related.
canuktravella
Our forward prospects are awesome. We need 2 more good d prospects mckeown. Pleaseeee hes a beast. 5 goals 5 assists in 12 games isnt the pace fox had earlier. But. Its decent. 13 games left til playoffs. He could hit 70 if he gets a hat trick or two i think hell get 65 at least. What a steal anyone hating on gillis should shut it

Terrence Ross
Sorry, I have been brainwashed into thinking that "we need better scouting" and that we are turning into the next Calgary Flames. Don't worry! It's because you have a bunch of BC teenagers, that post on here constantly, that don't know all the dynamics of hockey!
BanTSN
I like this Dane Fox pickup. Gonna be kindof a prick to play against. Dave Bolland type. Hopefully doesn't bust because of misc. personal issues or whatever.
TheRussianRocket.
...have a question: I haven't watched Fox play enough for me to fairly evaluate him (only watched him 4 times) but of those who have, is Fox is looking more of a dud or stud? Don't get me wrong he is racking it up in the OHL and is ripping up the goals and points, but is he one of this players you think who will have minor league success or so you think it can translate to nhl success too? From the 4 games I watched, he looked beastly and managed to pot in a number of goals and helpers. He was pretty noticeable and always somehow managed to get on the board...that's something elite players do...they might not be on their game 100% but still somehow manage to score. However, like I said this is what I got from a few games but would appreciate if someone could give me a realistic opinion. You think this kid can translate his success to the NHL, what type of player is he/his style of play, his weaknesses/positives, his tendencies (good and bad), what's his NHL potential, etc. Again, would be very appreciated if someone with more indepth knowledge about him can respond

Sh!t, does that also mean that eliteprospects.com isn't the only determining factor on how good a prospect is? Where else have I been going wrong in life? aGENT
Sorry, I have been brainwashed into thinking that "we need better scouting" and that we are turning into the next Calgary Flames. Every time I see some no-brain regurgitate the "facts" that our scouting/drafting/prospect depth suck and indeed are further reasons Gillis should be fired I:
Herberts Vasiljevs
Dane Fox reminds me of a Steve Ott with less reputable agitation, and is not as good as Ott at face-offs.

UFCanuck
Most likely either to do with lack of compete level for a stretch or poor defensive play. Haven't watched him play, but that would be my guess for scratching a key offensive player.

Haven't watched him play, but that would be my guess for scratching a key offensive player. Errie has been playing really really poorly lately. I guess scratching Fox is a wake up call to the team.... They were quite ahead of the London Knights in terms of the standing and has suddenly cooled off and losing to lower end OHL teams I believe. He should be fine.
