Tiger-Hearted
"The Fox Rocks!" Fox's 14th goal stood up as the game-winner in Kalamazoo's 6-3 win over Fort Wayne yesterday. He just scored his 15th as Kalamazoo is winning in Fort Wayne 1-0. Keep it going Dane!
N4ZZY
feel like Fox has really regressed. don't think he'll ever make it to the NHL.
Nuxfanabroad
Free prospect that can shoot the biscuit. Power skate practice until he's competent, or he's SOL.
BanTSN
feel like Fox has really regressed. don't think he'll ever make it to the NHL. It's not that he regressed, it's just that he needs McDavid to feed him sweet passes against teenage competition. If he was 17 at the time of his junior dominance, it would have been note-worthy. But he was 20. At least we didn't burn a draftpick on him.

Here's a guy that is our highest goal-scoring prospect at the minor pro level and it's also his first pro season. Okay, Fox is playing in the ECHL and not AHL, but still, he is showing a lot of consistency with his scoring and his +/- has been decent. I also have faith that his skating will improve with time and dedicated hard work during the off-season. Just remember: Stan Smyl was a choppy skater when he was an NHL rookie and he got better and better each season. I want our club to have at least a couple of natural snipers. Not just goalscorers, but snipers.

Some thing to keep in mind "Fox is playing in the ECHL and not the AHL" remember this subtle point he wasn't good enough according to the combined management & coaches to make it to the AHL....not good enough....OK. That's a damming commentary for a kid that's whta 21 ?? year old. You're right about Smyls skating and hey Williams looked like he was running on the ice. But remember this point too....they brought a lot more than gaols to their game ....if Fox isn't scoring his next best attribute is ???? I want our club to have at least a couple of natural snipers. Determined, passionate, hard working, can shoot the puck. Will see what happens. If he continues to improve he may stick with the AHL club next season (or the following). He's going to have to prove he belongs at next years Comets training camp. Would love to see him show he belongs. Time will tell.
Dogbyte
He really seems to be figuring out how to score again. He's been pretty good lately. I would not be surprised to see him get a call up to the Comets this year or next.

He probably has a good chance of playing in Utica next year. He is still a longshot to every make the Canucks. This summer he needs to really work on his skating. Sometimes it is possible to improve skating at least a bit even at age 21 or 22.
wshdrvvn
Darren Archibald was a poor skater going into his first pro season. He got his skating together after one season in the ECHL and made the AHL full time the following season. So it is possible. Foxy still has time to right the ship. Him picking up his scoring rate is encouraging.
S N Y P E R S 7
I wonder when he will see AHL action; he's physically ready. Perhaps it's just his skating - but that won't change in Kalamazoo.

wshdrvvn
No he collected a lot of McDavid-assisted goals. That's not true. Most of his goals were assisted by Connor Brown. That was his most consistant line mate. I'm sure he played with McDavid some but it was Brown that drove Fox's goal totals so high.

His goals came because he was on McDavid's team as an overager, so when he starts slowly in the pros, it should come as no surprise. If he eventually makes it to the NHL, I say good for him. But he's got a long way to go.
