Go Go Canucks Go

Six of this, half-dozen of the other. His goals came because he was on McDavid's team as an overager, so when he starts slowly in the pros, it should come as no surprise.

If he eventually makes it to the NHL, I say good for him. But he's got a long way to go.

He was always a low risk, decent reward player. Cost us nothing and if he can work hard and improve his main flaw (skating) he could be a decent player at the AHL level at the very least. He could be anything from never better than an ECHL player to Alex Burrows 2.0 or anything in between. I'm not sure why you feel the need to dump on him?

That's not true. Most of his goals were assisted by Connor Brown. That was his most consistant line mate. I'm sure he played with McDavid some but it was Brown that drove Fox's goal totals so high.

I only saw a few games but I don't remember seeing Fox take many shifts with McDavid at all, even when Connor Brown was interviewed about his success at the end of last year, he had more praise for Fox than anybody, some good words for Gaunce too.

Two goals for Fox tonight, including the game opener and the winner in overtime.

Now at 18G 10A for 28 points in 44 games.

I looked up the Canucks Army Prospect Report for January 7, wanting to see how he was doing just after the new year. After 27 games he had 6 g, 6 ast=12 pts, -5. He's now at -1.

That means he's got 12 g, 4 ast=16 pts and +4 in his last 17 games.

Depends what happens at the deadline, but we would not be surprised to see one or more older vets traded, which could open a spot for Jensen. Fox also had an assist today, on Blomstrand's goal.

Subban hasn't been signed yet, but his season has about a month remaining. By that time Bieksa and the other Canucks D should be back though.
