In this game, you'll have the opportunity to join your fellow CDCers on a quest to win the Stanley Cup. Playing this game is incredibly simple, though once you've submitted your player's information, minor activity is required to stay a part of the game. The current ability is the approximate average of a player's attributes, and the potential is (obviously) what the player could become. -8 is a random potential, meaning that your player could end up with a current ability anywhere from 130 to 160. However, over the course of one season, it's unlikely your player will grow enough to reach their full potential should they end up with 160. A player with 140 current ability would be considered a league average player, such as a Chris Higgins, Jannik Hansen, etc. On the other hand, a player with 160 current ability would be more of a Ryan Kesler type player. For an in-depth explanation of the attributes and potential, go here. Gameplay The season will be simulated one game at a time, and all game results will be posted as soon as the games are finished. Lineup spots will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis, though players will end up being shuffled around as the season progresses. Players who play well will see increased ice-time, while players who are slumping will be dropped down the lineup. To keep things as fair as possible, both goaltenders will share the crease unless one is vastly outperforming the other. Trades may happen at any point during the season. If another team sends us a trade offer, I will post the offer in the thread. The players involved can decide whether they want to be moved from there. Any players who end up moving to another team will not have their game results posted for them, but their season totals at the end of the year will be posted in the thread. RulesParticipants are limited to one player only. The only time an exception can be made to this rule is if the game is lacking registrations.Posting in the thread is strongly encouraged to keep everyone involved. If you're not interested in the game, don't bother signing up.Spot reservation is allowed, but templates must be posted within 2 days of the topic start time or the game will start without you.Once the simming has started, players can no longer be added to the game.Templates from older games may not be used as the new spreadsheet has been drastically changed.
