Prospect Pro-Comparison 2.0

Now that we have had more time to analyze the prospects in the system and get a feel for their playing style, what would their pro comparison be? I haven't seen all that much from some of these guys but I know there's a couple people on here that are well acquainted with their abilities. Feel free to include any prospect we currently have the rights to.

C Bo Horvat-C Ryan O'Reilly/C Patrice Bergeron-2nd line two way centerman

RW Zack Kassian-RW Ryane Clowe-Top 6 power forward

RW Niklas Jensen-RW Michael Ryder-Top 6 goal scorer

LW Hunter Shinkaruk-Zach Parise-Top 6 sniper

C Brendan Gaunce-C Brandon Sutter-3rd/2nd line shutdown center

C Kellan Lain-C Brian Boyle-4th/3rd line center

RW Alexandre Greiner-RW Bryan Bickell-3rd/4th liner

C Alexandre Mallet-C Maxim Lapierre-4th line center

C Cole Cassels-C Brad Richardson-3rd/4th line center

D Frank Corrado-D Dan Hamhuis-Top 4 defensive defenseman

No idea what to expect from anyone else. I'm intrigued at what you guys think about some of these guys especially

C Dane Fox- lighting it up in junior. He's an over ager by what 4 months? What do you guys think of him? Releasable pro styles?

D Jordan Subban- P.K.'s pick for best in family. Is he going to be to small for the NHL or does he use his speed to negate his lack of size?

D Henrik Tommerness- is he going to be the next Edler or what? That's my first impression of him. Very similar to Edler what he was in Manitoba.

So?

Kassian is definitely not going to be Clowe. Clowe has never been able to skate, Kassian can fly. Like it's already been pointed out, Kassian is a skill player with an edge more than a pure powerforward in the vain of a Milan Lucic.

Gaunce plays more like O'Reilly than Horvat imo. O'Reilly isn't the fastest skater but he relies on his unbelievable hockey sense and nack for being in the right place at the right time and he also has a very quick release and a great shot. He's also solid defensively and a pretty big guy. Gaunce looks like a bigger version of O'Reilly, maybe a tad slower but once Gaunce makes it to the top level his skating will start to improve. Horvat really looks like Toews when he plays. A lot how Shinkaruk looks like Kane when he plays. It's how they carry themselves and their swagger on and off the ice is very similar to those players.

C Bo Horvat- C Mike Richards, Bergeron hybrid.

RW Zack Kassian- Nathan Horton, without injuries

RW Niklas Jensen- Chris Krieder

LW Hunter Shinkaruk- Jeff Skinner

C Brendan Gaunce-C ROR, but with a better shot imo, once he starts to keep his feet moving, and if his hands improve he could be like Couture. (flame if you like, but Gaunce is going to be a stud)

C Kellan Lain-C Brian Boyle

RW Alexandre Grenier- Troy Brouwer

C Alexandre Mallet- Manny Malhotra

C Cole Cassels-C Dave Bolland

D Frank Corrado-D Paul Martin

LW Darren Archibald- Daniel Paille

D Jordan Subban- Alex Goligoski, higher upside though. Could be a Nick Leddy if we are lucky!

I'm a homer, but anything is possible, when your talking about young guys 5-8 years from now.

Bo Horvat = Patrice Bergeron. 2 way not elite speed, but can do everything type of centerman, wins faceoffs. Future 60 point player who will be nominated numerous times for the Selke.

Hunter Shinkaruk = Phil Kessel ,(sorry guys, but his dynamics with the puck and quick deadly release and acceleration with the puck reminds me of Phil Kessel)

Brenden Gaunce = Jordan Staal

Nicklas Jensen = MIkael Samuleson =( this is according to the AIk fan who watched Jensen all season last year, plays the game more like Mikael Samuelson)

Alex Grenier = Alex Burrows

Cole Cassels = Andrew Cassels? I have no bloody clue. lol

Jordan Schroeder Martin St.Louis

Kassian = Milan Lucic,

Kellen Lain = Paul Gaustad

Frankie Corrado = Marc Andre Vlasic

Jordan Subban = PK Subban

Dane Fox, Daymond Lankow with less speed but more of a deadly sniper?

Anton Rodin = Louis Erickson

Eddie Lack = Jonas Gustavvson

Henrik Tommerness Jyrki Lumme

Jann Sauve = Dion PHaneuf

Patrick Mcnally = Bryan Berrard.

Bo Horvat: Patrice Bergeron/Ryan O'Reilly

Hunter Shinkaruk: Patrick Kane/Phil Kessel hybrid (Kessel's shot, Kane's speed and agility)

Zack Kassian: This is a tough one to be honest. Kass is fairly fast and has a good shot for someone his size...poor man's Marian Hossa?

Brendan Gaunce: Not the fastest but has excellent defensive abilities and decent offensive potential. Jordan Staal

Nicklas Jensen: Justin Williams

Frank Corrado: A more physical Dan Hamhuis

Eddie Lack: Jonas Gustavvson

Jordan Subban: I honestly have to say PK. Jordan skates very similarly like his brother and if he grows to at least 5'11" we could have PK 2.0

I just wanted to compare our prospects that I've seen play, since I didn't want to give an unfair comparison to the one's I haven't.
