His only issue is that he continue's to be the GM of rebuilding teams, and they usually fire him a couple years before they begin to thrive. He's the reason the Canucks eventually became elite, and the leafs are on that same path. I would take him back in a heartbeat. Apart from the fact Burke knows how to make a trade without ruining the team, he has some clout with the league office and might be able to address the BS we get from the officials. Holland, Lomardi and Wilson look like they are staking claim for consideration as well. I'm probably even undervaluing Holland. St Louis has a very well constructed team at the moment. All these guys have better records both drafting and dispensing contracts. Burke makes one hero trade, amongst a bunch of others, every 5 years, yes!
