billabong
to phi: kesler, jensen to van: b.schenn (RFA), simmonds phily may not have made an offer for kesler at the deadline but I think when they get bounced again in the playoffs I think Holmgren will be a little more willing to pry kesler out of Vancouver. b.schenn is more comfortable at center so he can slot into the no.2 pivot slot and Simmonds is the player we have longed for in this city. we send Jensen to phi because as good as kesler is we are acquiring two young top 6 forwards who can score, hit and skate so kesler doesn't quite cut it. re-sign b.schenn 4yrs/16m re-sign tanev 4yrs/16m re-sign kassian 2yrs/3m re-sign santorelli 1yr/1.5m sign Mitchell 1yr/1m Mitchell is a fan favourite and I pretty sure he'd like to come back to Vancouver. he is 35+ so that cap hit is one the book regardless and with his bad knee its a bit of a risk but I want his leadership in the dressing room especially with kes and luo out of the picture. with the acquisition of mcnabb at the deadline I think LA have plans for him to take mitchells spot on the depth chart FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($7.000m) / Henrik Sedin ($7.000m) / Wayne Simmonds ($3.975m) Chris Higgins ($2.500m) / Brayden Schenn ($4.000m) / Zack Kassian ($1.500m) Shawn Matthias ($1.750m) / Mike Santorelli ($1.500m) / Alexandre Burrows ($4.500m) Tom Sestito ($0.750m) / Brad Richardson ($1.150m) / Jannik Hansen ($2.500m) Kellan Lain ($0.600m) / DEFENSEMEN Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) / Jason Garrison ($4.600m) Alexander Edler ($5.000m) / Chris Tanev ($4.000m) Ryan Stanton ($0.550m) / Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) Willie Mitchell ($1.000m) / Frank Corrado ($0.591m) GOALTENDERS Eddie Lack ($1.150m) Jacob Markstrom ($1.200m) BUYOUTS David Booth ($0.000m) Keith Ballard ($0.000m) RETAINED SALARIES (1.13% of upper limit) Roberto Luongo ($0.800m—15.00%) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (estimations for 2014-15) SALARY CAP: $71,100,000; CAP PAYROLL: $66,716,111; BONUSES: $8,333 CAP SPACE (23-man roster): $4,383,889 that line up leaves room for the likes of horvat or shinkaruk to work their way onto the team and if they aren't ready we still have an nhl ready roster to head into the season with I came across this video the other day and this is what I want our team to be again 14 years later...a young team that plays hard and can score more individual goals and you dont want to play us in the first round at 7th or 8th seed
Brendan Gaunce
The only way to revitalize this team is to get younger and a new coach.
canucks155
FINALLY, a trade that can actually benifit somebody other than the canucks. You sir, have done the imposible, be reasonable on a canucks forum. Applause. My modification would be: To Phi: Kesler and Guance (he simply can't skate to be anything more than a 3rd line center) To Van: Schenn, Simmonds and 2nd/3rd I think that Jensen > Guance. Guance IMO is the worst prospect that is a 1st rounder that we currently have, if he improves his skating, then keep jensen in the deal. However, if MG is still in charge this won't work because he's an idiot.

Flyers are gonna want Jensen over gaunce so if that what makes the deal then I'm all for it Schenns potential is untapped but simmonds is the player we need more then a Jensen type player Kesler>schenn Simmonds>jensen
