î мцšт вяздк чфµ
http://tvnz.co.nz/world-news/iranian-man-sentenced-having-nose-ear-cut-off-5858432 An Iranian man has been sentenced to having his nose and right ear cut off and his eyes gouged out for pouring acid on a young girl. The acid attack caused the girl to lose her eyesight and her right ear. Iranian opposition group, The National Council of Resistance of Iran, says an Iranian court has ruled the man's punishment should be the removal of certain parts of his face. The High Court in Iran has defended the practice of cutting off body parts as a punishment for those found guilty of crimes, saying it is a legitimate part of the justice system. Last month state-run news agency Mehr reported another man was sentenced to having a hand and a foot cut off for an unspecified crime. Iran is believed to have executed around 95 people so far this year, with last year's total number of executions reaching between 500 and 625, according to the UN. That figure included two children. King Heffy
At least this isn't to punish him for something stupid like being gay. I don't really have a problem with this one.
canucklehead44
I was about to feel angry about this, thinking he did some petty crime. In this case the jerk deserves it.

B00MER
Our tax dollars help get our criminals and murderes out of jail. Can't say I'm disappointed with Iran's justice system

Baka
Meh. I would sent people to jail for petty crimes and just have everyone else executed.
etsen3
It seems primitive and harsh to us, but so was what he did to the victim. At least it wasn't for something like adultery or having a facebook account.
King Heffy
It seems primitive and harsh to us, but so was what he did to the victim. At least it wasn't for something like adultery or having a facebook account. I haven't seen one post yet saying it was too harsh. I'm usually appalled by Islamic "justice". but I'm pleasantly surprised that their court actually gave this poor woman some real justice.
King Heffy
Wha? That's on the same level to you as a facebook account? It's a crime to me. Immoral and illegal are two separate things. I agree with Trudeau Sr.'s opinion that the government has no business in the bedrooms of its citizens.
Dellins
Why is this a thread? So corporal punishment lovers can get their satisfaction.
King Heffy
Illegality is based upon immorality. But morality is a grey area. I think the current system where you just leave the other person is more than sufficient. (But that's for another thread)

MoneypuckOverlord
Not as bad as I thought considering Iran is a muslim nation, in other countries such as Saudi Arabia, the male would have gotten away clean slate like nothing happened.
Pouria
justice was served. I like this type of justice rather than putting these type of people in jail. They would think twice about their next sadistic move since they will always have a reminder of what would happen.

topbananas
I'm ok with the eye for an eye justice thing.....crime rates would drop considerably if more places adopted this policy.
