theminister
Habs prospect Tim Bozon placed in induced coma Diagnosed with bacterial meningitis; Listed in critial condition DAVE KAUFMAN, QMI AGENCY FIRST POSTED: SATURDAY, MARCH 08, 2014 02:01 PM EST | UPDATED: SATURDAY, MARCH 08, 2014 02:44 PM EST MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens prospect Tim Bozon, who has been battling meningitis in a Saskatoon hospital, has been placed in an induced coma. Les Lazaruk, the radio voice of the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades and the sports director for the Saskatoon Media Group, told QMI that Bozon was placed in an induced coma on Thursday. “His folks have been with him since Sunday,” said Lazaruk. Lazarus said that he isn’t sure when doctors will try to wake Bozon from the induced coma. “I don’t think that we’ll be getting much more information," he said. Bozon, who plays for the Kootenay Ice, was admitted to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon on March 1. He was diagnosed with bacterial meningitidis, and has been listed as in critical condition. The day before being admitted to hospital, he scored for Kootenay in a game versus Saskatoon. Bozon was drafted 64th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2012 NHL draft. His father, Philippe Bozon, played in the NHL for the St. Louis Blues. Scary stuff. Just hope he recovers and can live a normal life. Hockey doesn't even matter right now.
