Canucks Jersey question

Recommended Posts

I've always wanted a Luongo jersey, and I figured that his jerseys would be on sale since he got traded.

I searched online and found www.vancouvercanucksjersey.ca/ Is this site trustworthy/authentic?

They have pretty much every canucks jersey for $91.99. Can I trust this place?

Does anyone know where else I could buy a Luongo Jersey for cheap? A heritage classic one would be okay too.

Thanks

Yeah that's way to good to be true

Buying Tips

  1. When deciding to purchase a Canucks jersey, be aware of the price. If it’s too good to be true, then it’s probably a fake. If someone, or a website, is selling a Canucks jersey with a sewn player name and number kit for $50-$100, it's a fake.

  2. Reebok does not liquidate authentic jerseys due to overproduction or any other reason. This is important as many illegal vendors will use this as an excuse for the really low price. Illegal vendors may also claim they know someone at Reebok.

  3. The Internet is full of fake jerseys. Beware of auction and classified sites such as eBay, Craig’s List, Lespac, and Announce123.

  4. Several sites sell fake Canucks jerseys directly from China. All authentic Canucks jerseys are made locally at Reebok's Saint-Hyacinthe factory, so any jersey which is being delivered by "international shipping" is 100% fake.

  5. If a website’s method of payment is Pay Pal, it’s probably not a legitimate online retailer of offcially-licensed NHL products.

  6. Search engines such as Google do not pre-screen websites that appear in their search results. Be cautious of websites that appear on Google searches for "Canucks Jerseys" or similar keywords or search terms.

  7. It is highly recommended that you purchase your Canucks jersey at an authorized retail store. To purchase your jersey online, visit the NHL’s store at shop.Canucks.nhl.com.

  8. Avoid purchasing a Canucks jersey outside the arena on a game night, out of the trunk of someone’s vehicle, or at a local flea market.

On a side note there's a sale on the Canucks store today that has 30% off all vintage canucks jerseys, I would hop on that if you plan on getting one

This website is absolutely fake. The fact they ripped the Canucks homepage background image is one hint, and there are many spelling mistakes. The good news is they allow refunds... I guess lol. Even the Better Business Bureau logo doesn't redirect to the site.

That site is so fake. Go to the Canucks shop. Since the OP is a Season ticket holder. They usually have a discount on most stuff. On more expensive items they will actually bargain a bit with you too, especially since you are a STH. If they do have any Luongo jerseys already made, they very will might take a lowball offer.

Thanks for the help guys. I definitely wont be buying from there.

If you click on the jerseys in the description it says they are made in Nicaragua . The last time io heard of that country was while playing Black Ops 2!

also BCNeil, I'm not a season ticket holder.

Try these websites. Some of the better replicas and authentics out there.

or

http://www.icejerseys.com/

And yes, Chinese copies suck!

so they tell you that it's fake instead of tricking you. But are they good quality?

I'm sorry I thought you were a season ticket holder, since you voted in the " will you be renewing your season tickets thread. " so that makes no sense. But yeah in general $80-$100 shipped from an international location will be pretty low quality. Just get a real one with no name on the back. It will last you forever. With no name on the back it will never be out of style to wear to games.

I'll bet you'd get a great deal on a used Luongo jersey on Craigs list. I'm sure there are fans that don't want their Luongo jersey anymore.

........

In fact I just went there to check it out. Search for the word "Luongo jersey" there are pages of them. Even a lot of signed ones.

My wife got my Kesler jersey off the cool hockey site. Completely authentic. Sometimes you can find a free shipping code too.

Lol, actually the replica and authentics are both made by RBK. The difference is the replica is the one you see most people buy since its usually around $100. Those are usually made in indonesia. I actually got mine off of hockeymonkey.com for $75 a while back. They do not do lettering so I didn't put that in my post.

The authentic (i have one of those too) are exact duplicates of what the players wear. You're gonna pay alot for those. I paid over $300 for mine. Mine was a first generation one of our current jersey and was made in Canada. They then went and made them in Indonesia(i believe) and have now brought them back to local manufacture due to QC issues. That comes with a fight strap.

Try to stick to the onshore(north america) sites and you should be good getting a replica or authentic that isn't a cheap chinese knockoff.

You need to ask yourself this. Since the NHL has its own online shop and every team has their own team stores. Why oh why would they allow internet sites to sell official merchandise, undercutting them 60-80%? The NHL shop has all three styles of the EDGE for $250 Canadian for blanks.

Wow, this place is improved their website a lot. They used to actually have pictures of their fake jerseys, but now I guess they're using the photos from nhl.com so no one can tell they're fake.

Please don't buy from there, OP.

Yup, unless it's NHL.com no site should be using those stock pictures. I hadn't seen it before but I'd guess fake. You can find jerseys on sale for ~$90-100 but they're blanks rather than including name and number.

If your on a budget I suggest getting premier jerseys or if you have lots of cash I suggest getting an edge, I got both my jerseys below 95$, one costing 50$ and another costing 60$(both premiers) off Kijiji but be extremely careful, so make sure you go around to see the best deal, (I'm getting a blank only for 25$ and its a true premier).

I'm sorry must have been an accident.

Yeah I'll check Kijiji and Craigslist for a Replica or cheap authentic as I don't have $300 to spend on a jersey lol.

Thanks. I get the difference now. i think I'll just go with a replica

Thanks for all your help guys. I went to Sportchek today and they had jerseys (with names) for $220. Im not sure if they were authentic or replicas. Then I went to Canadian Tire, and they had blank ones for $100. I guess these are replicas. I'm probably not going to spend $220 for a jersey. Can I buy the one without the name and have that put on?(and actually have it look real) Anyone know how much that would cost?

This is a replica jersey here for $144 and it says that they will stitch on the the name and number. So if I am correct replica jerseys do not come with a name/number and they are stitched on after? What about the ones where the name isn't stitched on and its just a sticker. (sorry if its called something else)

One last question what is the nameplate? The pictures on NHL.com seem no different but online i read that the replicas don't have them.

Sorry for all the questions this is my first time and I didn't know there was so much to know about hockey jerseys.

Yeah, $144 is great deal for a replica with name/number. I should clarify when I said REPLICA in my previous post I also mean PREMIER.

If your in Van you can try calling up Pacific Cresting if you want to buy a blank and have them do it. They do a great job with their stitching. Better than the Canucks store. I had them do my authentic and everything was stitched including the numbers and name plate.
