puckluv
sorry if redundant... so global has a poll asking people who is to blame. I don't understand why aquilini's are low in the poll -- they hire the manager ... the buck stops with the owner imho. thoughts? http://globalnews.ca...llapse-in-2014/
DeltaSwede
Can't really give any single person blame for this, actually we don't even know what "this" is yet and will find out at the end of the season. Players not performing, injuries, bad timing, asset management, questionable ownership decisions, the list goes on.

aGENT
That we're in the midst of a re-tool that the fan base asked for is "to blame".

TOMapleLaughs
You can point the finger at anyone in the organization at this point and be correct. Have to wait until the fallout settles before we know what's what. Predition: We'll see all the staff back next season and the majority of the key players. VanCityCanuck14
Gillis. Not even debatable. Though Acquillini is an idiot to.
Alex Burrows 14
I'd say the players. We have a good team and the players are the only ones who actually control what happens.
J529
Gills should be fired, but won't be once again somehow keeping his job and it will be Torts who is dismissed and takes the fall.

-DLC-
Can't really give any single person blame for this, actually we don't even know what "this" is yet and will find out at the end of the season. Players not performing, injuries, bad timing, asset management, questionable ownership decisions, the list goes on. Exactly how I feel. Assigning blame on a team is sort of inappropriate in a "there is no I in team" way. And who's to know? That's part of the deal is pinpointing what the problem is before you can determine who's at fault, if anyone. The simple fact that the answers here are already all over the map supports that. If it was simple, problems would be solved. It's obviously complex.
-DLC-
And who in hell's half acre is John Torotrella?? Seriously? This is kind of relevant to me, because you have people putting out polls and weighing in when they don't even have a clue. #Fail Try harder. No, don't even go there if you don't know where you're going. I am so tired of everyone jumping into the picture...at least know who you're polling about? I pick that John Torotrella guy, think he works concession. Lousy hot dogs, fire his butt.

J529
Why aren't Geoff Courtnall and Gallagher in the poll? Those two clowns recommended hiring of Gillis.
Quoted
CKNW has a poll asking if Gillis and Torts be fired and the 92% agree: http://www.cknw.com/ Knee-jerk, emotional firing of people might satisfy those out for blood, but without any sort of transition and long term plan it will result in more harm than good. It's really hard to picture that being done at this point in the season - no trades possible, no one is dumping coaching staff etc.
PetRocksAreMotionless
Without a doubt, Gillis. Not even AV could have saved this sinking ship.
LuongovsTuuka
After last night's shameful effort, this certainly feels like bottom. The blame can be pointed at everyone. I can handle watching a team lose, but not the way the Canucks have been losing this season. There has been a lack of effort some nights and almost no finish most nights. Shameful. I cannot even try to defend any of them anymore.
