DonLever
TORONTO – A 22-pound house cat with a “history of violence” caused a Portland family to call 911 after it attacked a baby and trapped its owners and a dog in a bedroom. Lux the cat, a large Himalayan, reportedly attacked a 7-month-old baby, forcing the owner to “protect” the baby by slightly kicking the feline. “(Lux) has gone over the edge and we are not safe around the cat,” the man told a 911 dispatcher. “We are trapped in the bedroom and he won’t let us out the door.” The father confirmed to the dispatcher that the child suffered only a few scratches on his head and did not require medical attention. “He’s trying to attack us,” he said. “He’s very, very, very, very hostile.” http://globalnews.ca/news/1199495/house-cat-attacks-baby-leads-owners-to-barricade-in-a-bedroom/

-AJ-
22 pounds?!? Either it's among the fattest house cats in history, or it's a breed that maybe shouldn't be allowed as house pets.

Baka
22 pounds?!? Either it's among the fattest house cats in history, or it's a breed that maybe shouldn't be allowed as house pets. I think he was exaggerating. I had a Himalayan cat and he wasn't any bigger than 10 pounds. The fluffy fur may make them look bigger but this guy sounds like he sees things as twice as worse as they really are.

elvis15
22 pounds?!? Either it's among the fattest house cats in history, or it's a breed that maybe shouldn't be allowed as house pets. Cross of a persian and siamese: Terrifying. 2 dogs had my cat cornered once and i went to pick her up to save her, and she went ballistic on me...within a second she landed so many blows my face was spewing blood and the dogs who were big german shepards took off in a wimper. moral of story: Dont mess with a scaredy cat! My sister's cat (it was definitely her cat, no one else really liked it that much) when we were kids used to beat up on not only other cats but also terrorize the bigger dogs in the neighbourhood. My brother woke up to a bunch of noise outside his window one day and looked out to find our cat in full mount on another cat about to do some kitty ground and pound. He banged on the glass and distracted it enough to let the other cat get away. It used to attack your legs (not really playfully) when you walked by and once jumped on my head with full claws out, but there's no way it ever would have been able to corner us and make us call 911. AppleJack
What are they feeding that cat to make it so aggressive? 22 pounds?!? Either it's among the fattest house cats in history, or it's a breed that maybe shouldn't be allowed as house pets. Gilly is part Himmie and she's only 10 pounds the average healthy Himmie isn't going be 22 pounds! Though I did have to put her on a diet. As others have said himmies are pretty much persians so they are super fluffy! Be ware of the killer fluff
